Phone Script for Selling Leads

Hi,

I have done telemarketing before. Both b2b and b2c.

I can try and come up with a decent script right now for you. I would recommend keeping it SHORT with biz owners, they are very busy and you should ONLY try to sell an APPOINTMENT, nothing more.

"Hi, may I please speak to _____?"
(or "the owner" if you don't know the name)

"I have been working with several other businesses on ______ street, (important to make them feel like u talked to all their neighbors already or you can just say "in town")

"... helping them get more leads (customers, walk in traffic or whatever) and one of them said you might need a little help in that department LOL" (try to make them laugh about it, small biz owners love to talk about the bad economy blah blah blah)

"Well that's why I called, you see I can help you ____ (get more traffic) by _____ (name techniques like SEO or whatever)..and since we are the experts, we can at least give you some free advice... can I please come by when you aren't busy so we can talk about it?"

- that's about it... the goal is to meet with them during a slow time like 3pm for restaurants etc.

- keep in mind, the hardest part is getting the owner on the phone with an open ear. once you do that, you have about 2 minutes to get them to bite, otherwise they will say they are too busy. this means you HAVE to find their HOT BUTTON within two minutes LOL

- when you show up, make sure the employees know you are there to meet the owner. they will not treat you like a salesman then
