Hey , I just had a listing optimized for a client..... I used keywords in the description, in the details, and even put keyword in the alt text of the images........

Before google made the changes to local search, ive done this same thing for a listing, and got one boxes, and also on the map for keywords where the were competition within an hour. probably quicker after making the changes....

And yes the website , is optimized for the keywords in the title tag... and has a pretty decent rankings on google.

there is plenty of room on the map for the keywords, why would the listing not show up.. if its optimized for them, the website is optimized for them, and better optimized than the ones who currently show up??

Like i said I saw results instantly before, does it take longer now for google to realize that the listing should get a spot since the new changes???

If anyone has enuff free time, ill gladly PM you the link

Give it some time, two to three weeks. If you did it right you'll see the desired results.

Yeah, give it some time. It looks like google has incorporated some organic SEO factors into their places listings. A normal website won't skyrocket to the top for the organics overnight same with the places listing. Give it time and continue to build backlinks to both the website and google places listing.
