Anyway I want to hook them up and get them results. I am finishing up on a site for a client now hope to be done next week. Then I can start on this new client but I want to begin to put together a plan to present to them right before Christmas. Any help will be much much appreciated.

  • What kind of company is it?
What have they done in the past?
    What are they doing now?
What kind of results are they looking for, in order for it to make sense to go with you?
    What are they open to?
What didn't work for them in the past?
  • Define GOALS.

From there you'll be able to define what need to be done, when and on what budget.
  • Hey Gmoney,

First, make sure you get a full understanding of everything they want you to do and what their expectations are.

Are you looking for info on the types of marketing services you can offer to them?
  • This is another law firm.

This law firm is fresh brand new and are wanting to get more business

They have 3 lawyers I believe in this firm

They want to target more traffic and have a presence in several other places on the web.

They dont want to do social marketing. this is the 2nd cleint I have had that doesnt want this I dont get it

They basically just want to scrape everything and start with a fresh marketing plan to get them noticed on the major search engines Google primarily and other law sites and forums.

    • A: Find some reputable provider to set them up with some seo here on the forum, backlinks, google places... who has a rep for getting people to the top spot, there are actually some on THE telemarketing forum who will do it for free and not charge the client until they are number one. Many let you handle the client all the way, and do not insist on personal contact, in other words they let you rebrand their service...
Also; You can buy a package of backlinks here for 50 bucks for 1000 backlinks, but you can sell them to an attorney for 50 cents per backlink. Seriously.

B: Make sure the most prominent copy on every page of your attorneys site is designed to do one thing and one thing ONLY: Direct the visitor to the free consultation form... you want one on EVERY PAGE.

      1: Dont get Fancy
2: Make sure the site is effective at directing people straight to the form , do not pass go.

Even the best SEO is worthless if your site disorients people and has them thinking about everything under the sun except rushing to a contact form.

Encourage your attorney to put his web address on his business cards and start a referral program whereby he can give everyone that comes into his office a commission for referring customers with his cards.

People love to refer attorneys... but with a commission attached it they will passionately 'SELL' one, not just refer.

Teach him to start his own offline affiliate network.

Ps. An offline affiliate can sell better and produce a more solid lead than a website can. They can even SEND people to the website. Then if the website is synergistic with what the offline affiliate is saying , it nails the point home even more solidly and the reason they were sent to the website in the first place... thats what a true marketing plan is.

If you want a hybrid system that works, and out performs others...even give the referrers (bird dogs) some ideas of what to say, or make a statement on the business card that really hooks, and confirms what the website is about to say...and make your site content synergistic. Its all about the flow in the process.

From your biz card, to your website, to the attorneys pitch...if you can create continuity.... "Thats marketing".

      Higher conversions.

Thats using the Internet to market... even more powerful than just straight IM.

  • I'm sure people here would love to help, and that's great, I wish you success. But what you're really asking is how do I do what I said I know how to do.
For future aspiring "Offline Marketers" this is something you need to plan out before you start claiming to be a "Marketing Expert."

    • Why do I need to know anything really though, except for "to understand how to explain a proven concept , and present an idea"?

If I know that Darren from graphics Genie for instance has produced videos that have been highly effective for other customers... and if I represent Darrens service... All I really need to know is his sales pitch and what he offers and how it benefits.

      For real.

I am no SEO expert, but if I tell you I can put you on top of the search engines I can... even though I dont personally know how to do it...

Have we forgotten this timeless thing that for 100 years has been called a "sales rep"...?

There are BILLION dollar companies all over the world who got that way by hiring 1000's of people who dont understand how to perform their services... to sell their "packages".

      So I say,

If you know a webdesigner who also is an seo expert, then find out what packages he offers, and go sell them. You dont have to be brilliant.

Sell what you sell....create a package that clearly benefits people, and transcends all industires, like a basic 5 page website... including all the obvious seo services... and go out and sell it to people who obviously need it.

Create a relationship (JV) with someone who provides those services.

Lets say I dont position myself as a "consultant" but rather a guy who sells a video package? Or a web design package?

All I have to understand is how to explain that thing. I dont have to be an expert. Salesman all over the world cant be wrong.

  • I never claimed to be an offline marketer and market myself as that. I didnt go out and start attracting clients saying I can do things that I dont know how to do. Some on this forum know that this client kinda landed in my lap. If there is one rule of thumb that I do know it is NEVER TURN DOWN A PROSPECT. I was offered to do a website in which i did and they were so impressed they referred me to others in turn that gave me another client to do this. My first goal was to study and learn the business but alot of very respectable and successful marketers told me to start now and not wait and learn while you go. I did this and it has worked out great for me as I have got new clients from doing this and alot of people on this forum have helped me learn this area of marketing and it has worked very well. I apologize if I offended you with my questions but I am just trying to help my customers and learn this area of marketing
  • I have to say that John has given away the key to success. A smart guy is a person who knows where to go for the answers. You don't need to know all that much, you just need to know where to go for the answers and you can have a fantastic business.

  • Thats why I call him Uncle John. He gives you the best advice in times where you really need it. Kid I was just like you when I first started and was up until a few weeks ago. I wanted to learn everything about marketing and do it myself so I didnt advertise myself until I felt comfortable in what I knew. The thing is I understood marketing very well but didnt realize thats all I needed to succeed. Several warriors encouraged me to start now and dont wait and I did and landed my first client like in less than 7 days. Now I am in the process of making one of the biggest sales of my offline marketing career and Uncle John and several others have given me the wisdom and confidence to walk into this meeting next week with no paper and walk out with paper with numbers on it. This forum is truly a blessing and the people here just add to it. Thats why I only go to 2 Warriorforum and thetelemakrketing.com forum. Cause thats where its at!!!

    • Yeah, John's like a marketing Don.... John the Don, Don John? lol.

All I know is he speaks the truth. And that one comment has it all making sense to me now.

We're marketers. By definition, we promote or exchange goods or services for money.

Nowhere in that description do I see the words create or design. I mean sure, we can create or design the goods & services we have to offer, but what makes us marketers is that we HAVE (or can find) a good and/or service, and we promote it to others.

In the words of Lauren Hill, "It could all be so simple... but you'd rather make it hard."

  • exactly, effectively using OPT is something i learned later on in my offline biz. i did everything my self from webdesign, SEO, social, mobile, ppc, and direct marketing... after just 6 clients... it just turned into work. 10 hours a day. even if i wanted to expand my company and get more clients i wouldnt have been able to. i couldnt find the time to go out and cloase new sales. so i hired a few sales reps. than, i thought why dont i hire specialist to do most of the work for me? and so far its been great.

all i do is get new clients...talk with them and make tailored blueprint for their business (i dont sell packages) then when needed i get the wp site made by outsourcing to a team i have been working with. they do all the on-page SEO for me so thats done too.. than i buy backlink packages from providers i find on forums. as for social media marketing i partnered with a local marketer that only does social media, we split 50-50 ( i bring him social media clients and he brings me SEO clients)

sales skills are by far the most important in this business i think. so many people provide services. you can always find someone that knows how to do what you need done. but being out there and meeting people face to face and earning their trust and business is hard and something most noobs here try to avoid. (i think thats why so many ppl buy WSO for geting new clients with out talking or meeting customers)

for every one person than can go out and close deals, face to face; there must be 10 to 20 people sitting at home waiting for someone to give them work...(stats were pulled out of my @ss) so go out get the job and give it to people to do for you and cash in.....

    • 1. Manage expectations (don't promise the moon in the first 30 days)
      2. Get it in writing (what they expect, what you will do)
      3. Over deliver
      4. Rinse and repeat

      Best of Luck
