Why A Business needs a Website (Video)

We often hear a lot about why businesses need a website but rarely test the market to see if it is true.

Here is a real world video for you to give you the confidence when talking to your next client.

We use this on our Web Marketing For Profit website to show our customers that the world is changing.

What do you think and have you got any other videos like this we can all use.

      Hi Quentin

That just about spells it out for everybody doesn't it?

Most people use the SE to find stuff

Most people have no idea what SEO is

What that leaves is a market for us to make a difference in.

      regards

Great stuff. The traditional ways of doing marketing (yellow pages, TV/Radio Ads, billboards) are expensive and ineffective.

Compared that with Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, SEO, Google Maps, which are free and far more effective!

    This is a great video!

I am now thinking about creating one as I live in Vegas and I can go to the strip and interview tourists.

I may borrow this video to send to clients.

Wow, this was great as tonight at our family Xmas party I was talking to my son (we had it early because he's going to Germany Wed. and was only home in between transfer from Hawaii) and I said I am going into offline and am going to have an actual business offering seo and such. So do you know what seo mean? Ugh, no.....

Just thought it funny I happened to see this tonight and I too want to click through to youtube and get the embed code for my website. Is that going to be okay?

    Great video!!

Nice find Quentin, I had just watched this video yesterday and thought it might be a good video to post, but never got around to it.

I thought it was a great idea to do something similar(an American version) to be able to show potential clients that are using the Yellow Pages currently.

Good video...though I don't see the point in asking random people if they know what SEO is...that's like an account asking random people if they knew the abbreviation of some random accounting term which means nothing to "outsiders," heh.

That being said, while having an internet PRESENCE is important...it does not mean a business "must" have their own website...for example a Facebook fanpage that contains important business contact information, social proof of happy clients, videos of the business, and a lead generation system can be just as powerful.

Only downside is that the business would then be placing their profits in the "hands" of Facebook.

Good to have their own website...but not mandatory (I've had clients start off on Facebook pages when budget for a full website to be created was an issue)

...but enough of me rambling, lol, good video =)

      Hi Dexx

Agree that asking random people what SEO is may not be the best approach.

But you would think that a lot of these random people might actually have jobs or run businesses.

They may even be decision makers in businesses that others own and run.

The important thing is that "all of them Google the info that they need to find".

What that means is that we are on the cusp of a critical time for offliners. We can choose to sink or swim and the important thing is to "learn to talk the language of the masses".

Talk about page #1 on Google and they all know what you are on about.

      Regards

Asking about SEO. What it does for us it to illustrate that we need to use terms people understand when trying to sell our service. I tell a client I will work to get them a good search engine position, not that I will do SEO for them.
