Multiple keywords on Google Places?

Hi guys,

i am new to Google Places, and learning more each day. One thing that I am confused with is how to rank my potential customers for more than one keyword (I have no customers as yet, and will only offer my services when I feel I can do a good enough job for them)

Would these multiple keywords then have their own Google Places listing for that particular keyword?

Sorry if this is a naive question, I am new and trying to learn as much as I can.

Many thanks,
Rob

When you create a Google Places listing it will rank for a number of keywords associated with the client's industry. So that same listing will pull up for many different keywords. Depending on the industry it can pull for 50+ keywords even though you only have 5 categories. There are many ways of expanding what your listing will get associated with. In your industry, categories, description and business details is where you have an opportunity to work in keywords. Also in the custom message the business (or you) can add. Coupons can also employ keywords.

Don't change the company name by adding keywords that are not actually in the company name.

Always add Geo Tags META to their website for any local client. This Generator will make them for any address worldwide Geo Tag Generator

getting shown in a variety of areas can be enhanced by adding in the "Details" section
a mention of the Areas Served, City Name, all relevant zip codes

eg. Areas served: Santa Barbara zip codes 93101,93102,93203...etc,Then
    Goleta Zip Codes ...

Don't go mad and list zip codes the company does not actually do business in.

Add geotags, and you can put keywords in the settings!

Thanks for your replies - I once again have leanred something new - so thank you.

Ianbo - you mentioned putting keywords in the settings, what exactly do you mean by that? I have been to the Geo Tags link kindly given me by warner444, but cannot see where this settings option is.

        Thanks,
        Rob
