Social Media Consulting **#1 Tips/advice**

Hey everyone,

I have been in offline sales for roughly 3 years, and I'm transitioning into the social media consulting realm. I wanted to legitimately know as much as I can about this industry, so I believe I'm going to purchase the Social media marketing Machines course to learn as much as possible.

For those out there that are currently social media consultants, what best advice would you give someone like me just starting out? Like pricing, proposals, best niches you've found most successful, tactics/strategies for acquiring new clients?

I greatly appreciate any advice you can provide. Thanks!

I would focus on doing one thing with excellence. If you are good at sales, then I would focus entirely on Facebook PPC management. This puts you in a position of not having to execute the design and the other work that goes along with a full fledged social media campaign. Just like with Google Adwords management five years ago, this is another area that a company with a good sales team can go zero to a million in short time.

Everyone's taking about "Social Media Marketing" again I guess because of this course. I think this puts you one step behind, that peaked already with fan pages and all. The trend that is snowballing is Mobile marketing. Proof is the big guys like Google and others are dropping hundreds of millions into the foundation. Mobile/smart phone marketing will be bigger than the internet was when it began.

They say in a year smart phones will be all there is. The others will be retired as prices drop.

I'm not saying social media is done, just that there's already a lot of competition. The thing now I believe is working to integrate fanpages, twitter, Google places, with mobile.

You do realize that Mobile Marketing with the Monster Followup component is a HUGE part of the Social Media Marketing Machines package don't you?
