    Hi there...

What keyword is your site ranked on second listing on Page 1?

You may be seeing the personalized Google results that push up your ranking based upon what website you are looking at on your desktop.

Try using one of the proxies below to do a Google search and eliminate this as being a possible culprit:

        Hi there.

I imagine that has to do with the keyword your site is ranking number one for. It is most likely not 'outlets' or even 'best outlets'. Maybe 'affordable energy saving outlets'. Please tell us.

Then we can look at the traffic for the keyword in the search engine. Is it a high or low traffic keyword. To find this out use Google's search based

        Search-based keyword tool

Type in your main keyword, and the tool will return traffic data for that and all of the other lower traffic suggestions. Then you can take a second tier keyword and place it in the tool, to get more suggestions.

Once you pick a set of relatively low traffic keywords, build your site around those so you get a bit of traffic from each. Later on you can target the higher competition keywords.

Thanks for the response. My main keywords are
Best outlets online I have noticed that if I use a proxy to search my site
that none of the products from the golden can script show up. Could this be what people are seeing
when they find my site? A page with no products.

I looked your site up on Google.
It was in the 5th position and not the 2nd for "best outlets online"
And you were no where to be found for "best outlet online" or "best outlets"

When I looked at your site, all I saw were links to other pages.
Then when you scroll down to the bottom, you see some actual products.
I suggest you change this around to have the products be the first things someone sees. Then maybe a link/tab that says "product lines available" or something.
    Just my thought.

Also, Google is showing that your keyword "best outlets online" gets 480 searches per month and has 66.8 million competing pages.
Where as the term "best outlet" gets searched 4,400 times a month and has 27.2 million competing pages.
I could go on but, you are not paying me for my keyword research. Lol

My suggestion is to get ranked for best outlet.
It has 10 times the search volume with a third of the competition.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. May site seems to get bumped around on Google because it was in to number position when I posted this. I did change the products to the bottom because I was getting sales earlier when I the outlets on top.
It still comes up 1 or 2 on Yahoo. I will try your keyword advise.

I could be wrong here, but I figured this place is called offline marketing discussions. Google isn't offline and nor are websites.
