Over the last few months, I've noticed a lot of WSOs going out and people buying like mad. Especially when a WSO is only $17 or $27 or other low figure.

One thing I struggle with is the fact that people keep buying and buying expecting that a $17 report is the "Answer" they have been looking for.

Or maybe it's just that like me, I like marketing and "Collect" good stuff.

The one thing I've learned over the years is that to actually "Create" a business that provides income consistently, month-after-month, is that you've got to have systems, period.

You've got to have a way that consistently get leads...

You've got to have a way that converts those leads....

You've got to have a way that keeps customers coming back, again and again...

And you've got to have a way that everything is repeatable by the average person.

This allows new employees or new business owners the ability to duplicate what you've done.

Sadly, it seems that many programs, or books, or videos, lack the "special sauce" or "secret ingredient" to make it work. Something tends to be missing.

The whole story is not told.

That is why systems are so valuable... and are priced accordingly.

Many of the WSOs here are good, valuable content.... but it is really a starting point. You've got to put yourself into the mix and adapt things to your personality, mindset, and work ethic.

I buy WSOs for education and entertainment.

Me... I'll buy a system every time to make money.

Some of us specialize in building systems. That's what we do. We have replicable models that create customized marketing and sales systems unique to a particular business or market because a canned, turnkey system cannot meet the needs of a unique business with a unique value proposition.

You think buying a system is expensive, try paying for an expert to build you a custom one from ground up.

Now that right there sounds like a darn good business. It figures that you're doing so well.

And...just how lucky and rich would someone have to be to learn from you? (Should I ever become rich, and turn my luck around.)

I've been trying to teach these ideas on WF for a long time.

But when you start saying things like "SEO isn't the alpha and omega of marketing", some people start calling you condescending.

But hey, the truth is the truth.

To be successful, like any other marketing tactic, SEO is but a shiny bauble hung on the branches of the business system tree. It's just one weapon in the overall battle plan.

A few folks who "get it" receive occasional coaching from me via Skype at no cost. Ask guys like Rus Sells, John Durham, Joe Ratliff, et al. I've never charged them a penny.

That's because I am not in the business of selling "how to" WSOs to other consultants. I am in the business of DOING it for REAL clients.

The smart ones will take golden nuggets from various WSO's they may have purchased and create their own "SYSTEM." :-)

Agreed! That was the exact reason I created my Consulting Success Map course, and I even teach the members of the course the importance of not only creating a system for their own marketing, but for their clients as well. (naturally increases the uniqueness and perceived value)

Funny enough, as Michael said, most people still seem to be focused on purchasing "online services to sell" as opposed to valuable business skills.

Oh well. I figure those looking for quality resources will take the time to find them...and those looking for "magic bullets" will make WSO creators that cater to such individuals very wealthy, lol

One of the things that Michael said which is what I do as well is to create custom systems for businesses.

In addition, I show offliners how to make more cash by being a full blown business consultant.

This takes time, effort, and the ability to think on your feet.

Is it expensive? If you are just looking at the price, yes.

But if you look at the payoff in increased PROFITS and a system that continues to bring in clients and customers for local business.... then it is very cheap.

Selling a $47 dollar or even a $500 product to create a six-figure business is just not realistic, in my mind.

The reason you pay so much for franchises is because of the systems.

Can you fail with systems. Oh, yes. (Ask me how I know)

But the chance of your success as you FOLLOW the system is MUCH, MUCH greater.

One more point in reference to Michael above...

Taking someone by the hand and showing the ropes, step-by-step, with personal contact is the BEST way to learn in my experience... That's why I do it with my clients.

It may take some time, but your results are going to far outweigh your time and investment.

    Cheers,

Just one more thing I realized....

Prospects who understand the value of systems will pay for them. This forum is a good place to sell information for a very specific type of buyer.

I sell my systems to serious players in the marketplace.

    Why?

They're the only ones who can afford my prices.

    Warmly,

    Millard
