I am in SALES and I'm D@m proud of it...are YOU???

"Eh, I just don't wanna come across as a SALESPERSON...blah blah blah...I'm not selling, I'm just sharing my knowledge"...etc etc. I've heard people say this for many many years in my career and over and over again in network marketing testimonials from different companies! It's no wonder why 3% of us have 97% of the money in the WORLD! I am sooooo tired of hearing this feable/weak type of mindset from people!

Sales is one of the most respected occupations in the world. There are more MILLIONAIRE salespeople than doctors and lawyers COMBINED (check figures for yourself).

I am in SALES...I offer a service that people want, that people NEED! When I sold payroll services and automobiles not once did I ever have people look at me with disdain or disgust. I was a respected person in my industry who would answer any concerns potential prospects would have and was looked at as an expert in my field.

Why do people make this profession out to be such a BAD thing?!?! When you purchased your home did you REALLY look down at your realtor because they were selling you a home? NO! When you went into a department store and you need a sports coat and the salesperson helped you out did you REALLY walk out feeling like he/she somehow bamboozled you, I think NOT!

When a pharmaceutical rep walks into a doctor's office do you REALLY think they are shunned as some peddler...hell noooo!

I urge you to stop acting like your out there "getting over on people" and not providing a valuable service. There are people out there who's lives you are changing, who's finances you are improving and who's business you are helping so stop acting like a f-ing PEON an be PROUD! You offer services that are in demand...simply go out and find them... Pick up you skirt, grab you "sack" and get on with serving your clients that desperately need YOU!

Sorry guys, just read ANOTHER thread about not wanting to come across "salesy" Uggghhhhh!!!!!

??????????? Was with you all they way up to the last part.

If as a salseman I can sell someone into working on the phone to set appointments, and they can sell someone into an appointment with a web company, and that websalesman can sell them into a website, then it also gives webdesigners and seo guys a job... which in turn creates more sales for the end customer which enables them to facilitate yet another person with a job in their business fulfilling all the new orders!

Thats not to mention the opportunity we provide for the dialer company, the list companies, the people who build the computers we work off of, also the ones who sell the webdesign programs and online tools, the registrars...

When we sell..., others all the way down the line become inspired, enlightened and are given work opportunities.

So its not just about making personal money... It is a great service to mankind to produce sales, which produces work opportunity and keeps cash flowing in the economy, even benefits Uncle Sam!

Often I will arrive early to an appointment, and start hitting up some of the surrounding businesses. When making these cold calls in person, I really do say this to the secretary or whatever, "Hi I'm one of those pesky salespeople here in the area. Who is in charge of ordering your [product I'm promoting]?

It catches them off guard and gets a good laugh. And, they will always give me the name or even point the way to the buyer's office. That would lose the impact if I said instead that I have something I would like to share.

I'm printing this one and reading it daily!

I love this attitude! I provide solutions to complex problems and I fill needs, if the customer feels that I am their adversary instead of someone they can depend on - I probably don't want (and definitely don't need) their business!

I've been accused of "being in it for the money!" Uh, yeah! Money kinda pays my bills, feeds my kids, pays for school. D@m right I'm in it for the money!

    See what I did there?

In agreement with MYOB, these wussies who refuse to sell, are damming up the flow of prosperity for people all the way down the line... make a sale and put a cash injection into the economy... its called the law of reciprocity... if you arent making money, you arent making contributions to the economy...

Just think , even in the local WF economy, when you make a sale you give a webdesigner a job opportunity. Thats reciprocity at its finest.

Not making money is selfish! Yeah thats the ticket!

The things you guys are writing are sooo true! We as sell people are the lifeblood of the economy. We sell products and services that are badly needed, in turn we get happy customers that (when purchasing our services) allows their businesses to run more efficiently...

We get paid well-deserved, handsome commissions. We in turn purchase cars, groceries, our kid's school clothes with these fat pay days...which allows people to be employed at Bet Buy, Wal Mart etc etc... "The Wheels on the bus go Round and Round..." ;-)

Speaking of "Kids", When my daughter is old enough to understand, I will make her know the value of being a Sales Professional. Most kids want to be a doctor or lawyer...Pffff, you know how many hours doctors work?!?! No Thanks! I'd rather I teach her how to be a Sales professional, have the right mind-set in life, teach her how to communicate and having her learn the value of fulfilling people's needs... Now THAT will create a money making, successful, BEAST that I can be proud of!!! :-)

Really dude? This is the 3rd thread you've posted this same exact message in. And your post history indicates you have a habit of word for word re-posting comments that appeal for help in other ppl's thread... comments that aren't exactly related to the topic at hand mind you.

You say you can't make a new thread because you're new here so I'll give you benefit of the doubt and inform you that you actually can. All you have to do is hit the "New Thread" button at the bottom of the subforum you'd like to post in.

    @ Sasha (the Kid)

Nobody is gonna do qualified exclusive lead gen for 15 bucks per pop thats for sure. I could have web pages designed that cheap... but I cant produce "customers" that cheap.

Again, the value of a salesman.

In sales job you have to do lots of donkey work in the beginning but once you settle and have experience in this field you have lots of opportunities of jobs in Pakistan or anywhere in the world. So people should go for sales job.

[QUOTE=Mr. ATX;3096019Why do people make this profession out to be such a BAD thing?!?! !![/QUOTE]

The answer to that is simple, many years ago a sales job was deemed to be bottom of the ladder, it was the least popular job you could get, you were considered bottom of the pile if you had a sales job.

Oh yeah, I know that's for sure. That's also part of the reason why his post are annoying... get your own thread to make unrealistic requests.
