How much are Lawyers willing to Pay for domain?

Warriors,
I hope I can get a good insight from your experiences. I purchased burnabylawyers.com months back. Along I also purchased coquitlamattorneys.com after reading Gene's Book

Now I'm looking to sell them for some funds however I'm unsure how much I should price it at.

Burnaby is a Major city which is almost as large as Vancouver. It is growing rapidly and so is Coquitlam so I know these names definitely have values but I how do I know who to approach and how much to ask.

Can you guys please share your friendly opinion regarding:
1)How much should I sell BurnabyLawyers.com for?
2)How should I find leads? Which firms should I target. Bigger or Smaller?

the easy way for me to sell my domains is by sedo. my suggestion just list the domain there and see how much people offering then you can get the idea of your domain price.....just a suggestion

Get it ranked, get it listed in places, get some stats. Build a generic lawyers page, start generating leads.

  @ OP- don't take Billy's advice on this as it will VIOLATE GOOGLE'S TOS.
  In doing so, could cause the domain to get blacklisted. Now the attorney has a domain name he can't use to help dominate his local market with.
  You will end up with a mad attorney, your rep ruined, and in a mess you probably don't want to be in. Especially with attorney's!

  With so many different specialties in practicing law, it would be difficult to offer everything and try to find an attorney in every specialty to provide leads to.
  
  In my opinion, you should do what is listed in other posts. Such as list it in sites to see what people are willing to pay for it. Use that as your starting point. Then, contact attorneys and offer the domain in conjunction with some of your other services.
  Let the attorney know that you will retain rights to the domain names. However, you will point the domain name to their website. This way if you ever part ways, you retain the domain name.
  
  Say you offer Google Places... tell them you will build them a listing with a static home page (using the domain name) for $x Just add the value of the domain name to the price.
  Say you build websites, build them a website using the domain name and just increase the price to make up for the value of the domain name.
  
  Again, these are just suggestions. Take bits and pieces from everyone's replies and you will come up with something you are comfortable offering.

  Talk to some lawyers in those areas and ask them how much is a new client worth to them. (The life time value of a client).
  
  From this you can work out how much new business (in dollar terms) your site can bring in for them.

There are a few great scripts out there that let you scrap business data and then email them out. I'd try that and shoot an email out to some lawyers and see if they bite. You could probably easily sell it for $1k.

If no bites, I'd try and do a little cold-calling and building awareness that way. You could also do buy a list and do a mini- postcard marketing and get some bites too.

Lots of ways to do spin it.

That's a good idea though to rent the domain with services contingent on purchasing the monthly services.

I wish it would be 25k but the evaluation is a little bit wee too high lol. I've done all the designing, SEO it to top page of google so all that is left is marketing which is the reason for this thread.

I think the correct estimation from what I got here and other forums is $500-$1000+

The price of something is determined by the presence of a willing buyer and a willing seller agreeing on the price. It may be worth your time to research what other similar domain in a similar niche in your geographic area sell for. Are there lawyers in those two areas understanding the benefit of what you are offering? If so, how much is this benefit worth to them? That's how you will know what you can get for these domain names.

you can sell the leads to leadrival for 18 a lead on local sites. A top ranked bankruptcy should pull at least 1 a day. 1000 seems way too low. I'd aim 10k at least for a fully seo'd site.

Capture leads and give them to a few lawyers as a "unsolicited free trial". Contact them when you initiate and then in a few weeks. If they want the leads flow to continue, then they must pay. Otherwise they get swapped out. Somebody will stick. Keep all simple and do not over complicate it. Some lawyers in the US can not "buy" leads so check your local laws. Good luck.
