what are you guys finding as far as places clients go? basically which markets are most likely to use your services? mine seem to be insurance agents they all seem to really want to make a buck anyway they can and also seem easier to sell on the whole being first on places thing. so what do you guys think? insurance, real estate, lawyers, restaurants.

We've found a mixed bag - those who have plenty of competition, and those who want to pre-empt it.

We're just about to taget businesses where a search shows many directories, but few actual sites. Care and nursing homes are a case in point over here.

Solicitors (attorneys) are good ones to target, but I think the rules regarding advertising, content, etc, are not quite so difficult to adhere to here as in the States, so you might find it harder with this category.

In general, try to find markets with low competition and a relatively high mark up for the local business. These are people who will benefit from new customers and can afford paying you for it.

There are a couple of categories...

    High Profit, High Volume
-$500 and up, over 50 customers a month
    High Profit, Low Volume
-$500 and up, under 50 customers a month
    Low Profit, High Volume
    -Under $500, over 100 customers a month

    (Above are just some examples)
I also judge pricing on which category they go into.

Don't do: Low Profit, Low Volume
    -Under $500, under 100 customers a month
