I have a client wanting a site like :

She will be sending me 75 pics of her inventory for the site. I have 2 outsourcers I presently use and know what I can get the site done for. However, from your expertise what would you charge?

  • Been checking that out...

I would quote $1300 for the basic 8-9 pages indicated by the home page links, and then $60 per product that required an additional page , letting the customer request product page additions at their leisure (This way, after the initial 1300 they really write their own quote, this places the ball in their court depending on how many product listings they want. They set their own price after 1300...)

Then I would charge 189 per month for a google places listing and hosting.

Thats me. I would feel good about that.

Then I would pay some designer $4-$500 bucks to do the basic 8-9 pages, and $15.00 per additional product page, and I'd pay someone 100 bucks to put up the google listing.

    Lastly "Most Important"

Dont let people tell you the singlestone site sucks and they can do a better layout...

Dont try to sell her something others say she will like better. She knows what she wants! You have the best chance of closing her if you give her THAT.

    Hope this helps bro

    • John, when you say 1300 dollars for a website, would that be for a wp site, Mick
  • Didn't you already ask this here?
  • Yes I did ask a week ago. I would like some more feedback if possible.

    Thanks

    • You received answers in the last thread you made here AND the one you left on TMF. If you can't come to a decision based on the multitude of replies received....
How about you just put all the prices that you were given, and comfortable going with, into a hat and just pick something? There's really no need to be spending days deliberating on this.
  • Take action TODAY.

Re: a specific price, I like what John said above. Be comfortable with the quote, then make the offer.

    My 2 cents.

  • My appointment was suppose to be today. However, I live in Alabama and everything shuts down for a dustin. We have 10-13 inches of snow on the ground. Most snow in a 24 hr period on record for my location. Needless to say, all businesses will be shut down for a couple of days. Since I am new, I am just looking for advice from more experienced offliners. Sorry for the double post.

    • You hadn't received and answer yet that you felt good about yet... understandable. At least you really do want counsel, and you arent jumping til you see the right answer.

I cant wait to see the results of your meeting!

  • Depending on her budget (which in the jewellery niche should be fairly large) I'd create a packaged marketing solution for between $6,000 - $10,000 for her.

Don't forget, she is asking for things based on her current basic knowledge (i.e. pretty websites)...you can educate her into expanding on that knowledge (direct response website + education for prospects = increased sales)

    Food for thought!
