Green Pea's First Meeting

We had a recorded break winter storm over the past couple of days. The roads should be better in the morning. I plan to have atleast one app't on Wednesday. A few quick questions:
1. I am planning on pricing my big jewelry site I have spoke to a few people on this forum about for $2-2500. I was planning on getting a $500 deposit and the rest upon approved completion. If they want anything tweaked after it is fnished, I will take care of it for no additional cost in hopes of having a very satisfied client who will give me some good referrals. She has been in business over 25 yrs in a city of over 100k people. I'm sure she knows a few people.
2. How would you address the question:
Can I see some of the sites you have done?
3. How long have you been doing this?

I would appreciate any advice. Also, now I have over 1200 local b2b qualified leads. I will be calling on these businesses as soon as they open back up.
My goal for the 1200 free local b2b leads(under the parameters I chose) is:
$3000 Net Profit
$1000 Min/Monthly residual(seo,google places, etc)
Then gain referrals from those clients and continue to grow.

    A: Tell her you are just starting and the reason you are offering her such a deal is because you need a few intial sites that you can "Showcase" to the local community, and show other biz owners... so you plan to get results!! Tell her that you really want to do an AWESOME job at ranking her and making her site nice because it will also serve as one of your company's showcase sites. Then DO that!

    Sincerity goes a long way...

    or (Just as sincere...)

    B: Find your outsource company/partner quickly...designer... and use their work to show her as your JV partner! You can say "this is the kind of work we do..."

    This has nothing to do with the questions you asked.

    But why are you waiting to call these businesses. This is an opportune time to talk to the decision makers with out the need to get through the gate keeper. Most business owners will still go into their business to check on it regardless of the conditions.

    How would you address the can I see some of the sites you have done?
    I'm with John here. Let her know you've only done work for yourself previously, and have only recently decided to work with external clients. In order to help build your portfolio, you are offering her a great price, which includes the free upgrades. Many times this adds up to hundreds if not thousands of dollars in the first 1-2 years after the original site. It's a great value for her!

    I've been doing this for a number of years, but once again have only recently decided to start working with external clients.




    "a number of years" is open-ended, answers her question, without tying you to a number that may not be true. Hey..the number could be 1.

    put all your power to make some sites to show her as samples to choose. Good quality of work will tell your experience.
    if you impress her with your work, she would not interested to know that how long you are doing this job.

      It happens... just keep your momentum.... you are in the last mile of a million mile race Chris... its about to bust open for you! Dont let a few snow days shake you! Downtime happens... doesnt mean the game is over.
