*** Hiring Super Stars for Any Job or Task, and the Importance of Client ROI ***

Warriors,
so many times we find ourselves in positions with our own business, as well as those of clients. In becoming a well rounded consultant i would like to share with you the Dynamics of HIRING SUPERSTARS for any Job or Task.

When i discuss Super Stars, i am talking about the top 1/10th of 1 percent of People in any given field or business. Sales super stars, Real estate super stars, Business Management superstars, even Bartenders and waitstaff.

Example: I recently had a Nightclub client who was looking to increase Gross Turn over, the first thing we implemented was a Trainning program for Bartenders and the Cocktail waitress's. Teaching staff how to Up sell and deliver Exceptional service flat our increases Revenue and ROI. We were able to Determine any one staffs average dollar per sales per customer. (estabishing a Baseline) Next as we implemented the training, we tracked the increase in Avg Dollars per client. Heres where it gets Awesome, With one Cocktail waitress, she was able to get her Customer average from 12.00 per head, to 23.00 per head in less than 4 weeks.

That might not seem much but lets break it down...

50 Customers per night at 12.00 Each = $600 in turn over
Same 50 Customers @ 23.00 Each = $1150.00 in turn over or very close to 95% increase.

Now let me ask you a question here, Are there any more customers coming through the door than 4 weeks earlier? (of course not) however, by training the staff as a whole to get to $15.00 per customer we increase net bottom line. Our NEW SUPERSTAR SERVER is now in a position to command the very best area in the club, and she will get it based on her CRUSHING NUMBERS per customer.

If you were the club owner, and you could increase Sales by 95% without spending much money what is that value to you in that?

Now, Lets talk about SUPER STARS...

Lets take the same Scenario, and as a business owner of a Club, your now Taught how to Hire the Super Stars, the Cream of the Crop the top 1/10th of 1%. Your Bartender is a Super Star and Averages $30 per customer. Your Top 2 Servers average $28 per head, can you see what a Monster Difference Super Stars can make to a business. Believe it or not, they can and will increase Gross Turn Over Immediately. The importance is so overlooked by so many Companies and Business's.

The old Cliche' if they only knew. Super stars are not easy to find, and even harder to keep around. You have to be prejudiced on performance, and treat them Special. Guess what they are special. Imagine if you as a Consultant had a SUPER STAR Sales person for your Business? Do you think you could earn more revenue? What if you were giving up 20% to them Ongoing. Meaning they make 20% for the life of the Client? What would your #s be.

How about walking into a business owner and being able to Teach them first the Value of Hiring Super Stars, and Secondly either Hiring one for them or Offering them the Solution to hiring one.

One step Further...What if your SUPER STAR that works for you, Could offer this service to a Business, and show the Entire Value to them? Folks, so many ways to skin cats, generate revenue, and i for one, feel this is one of the Fastest and Most Overlooked sources of Revenue in Consulting.

What are your Thoughts, Opinions or Questions?

Warmest Regards,
Robert

I am pretty sure... I am a superstar.

    I believe in stacking.

Stacking the deal. Once they say yes... asking for a little more. Always keeping in mind cost vs. value of course. Always giving more than I should...

But always pushing for the most I can.

That is what makes for a successful business man. IMO

You should check out Chet Holmes he goes into depth on how to hire Superstars(mostly selling superstars, but the principle is the same).

        Amir,
Sounds like your on the right track, and you will know if your a Star. Question is, can you hire one for a company or yourself? Would you know how to present that concept to a business owner? Picture for a Minute what your business would be like if you had a Star working for you? How would that affect your Gross Turn over and Net bottom line?

Hopefully this gets your wheels turning...

        Marcos,
i have read Chet's book, and studied a lot of his material, i think the core values are fantastic. However there is so much more to it, you need a system to present to people or business's and sure fire system for hiring and maintaining them. Its about getting a star any time for any job or task, not just selling. IMHO this is such a huge hole in the market place all the way around, there could be a whole career there.

    Abso freakin lutely...

Funny you say that Brash.... I had a guy call me a couple of weeks ago. Trying to pitch me webdesign and SEO. I let him talk, asked a few buying questions to keep the ball rolling... Then I broke down what was wrong with his pitch... Then made him an offer... Using a take away because I did not want to step on the toes of my competition.

He starts tomorrow. This kid is on fire with it. (He is 23 so I can call him kid....) My compensation plan is WAAYYYYY more than what he was getting. Why? Because I recognize greatness when I hear it.

I have hired and fired quite a few people in my day. What it all boils down to... I am an old school hustler. It takes one to know one. You spot it you got it. However you want to phrase it... superstars are the only ones I am really interested in hiring.

I am in negotiations with a couple of Yellow Page reps... I am also working on recruiting the top reps of a phone sales team that has nothing to do with internet marketing. They are already doing B2B, so they are mold-able while having the core conditioning of what it takes to be successful at cold calling in this business... in short. They have b@lls.

There is more to this business than just being able to do the technical side of things....

I actually started with no real knowledge of how to do these things. I just know how to sell. I know how to get the deal when the time is right and my back is against the wall.

Finding the same types of people can be difficult. But they are worth waiting for.
