Need ideas: How to track offline affiliates?

OFFLINE MARKETING

I am looking at promoting a online training course using offline affiliates. Just trying to get some ideas as far as tracking methods. I was thinking about using high-end lead end cards with tracking codes linking to each affiliate, but a few questions/concerns with this.

1. How many cards to give out to each affiliate?
2. How to approach new affiliate and assure them that they will get paid?

Please let me know if you any additional thoughts on this matter.

It's a wordpress plugin that you can use to build your own affiliate program. I would distribute my marketing material to my offline affiliates and give them a link to your website that has the affiliate sign up page. From there, they will be assigned an affiliate ID that will be appended to the whatever url address for your online course. From then on, if you're familiar with affiliate marketing, you'll know the rest

  Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the difficulty. I also have outside sales reps with promo materials embedded with their sales code disguised as a "discount code". For example yoursite.com?affiliateid. The sales rep advises the prospect to be sure to enter the code after "?" to get the discount. I also have a toll-free number with an extension also as "promo or discount code" for tracking the sales rep.

  Why not send them to a personalized page for each affiliate and then have them pay via paypal.
  
  Each payment will have a specified number per that payment button.
