Looking to sell local business leads, quick question.

Hi Guys,

Just looking for some advice from this great community.

I am looking to sell business leads to companies. I am in the process of setting up a website for it, but was wondering if anyone knows any good places/websites I can find companies looking to buy straight away ( I need the money badly, lol ) that I can offer my service to online.

I am thinking of lists of about 500 or 1k business contacts, any good ideas on how I should price the service.

Is one bulk price better then say pricing per lead ? I know it's a very generic question cos it depends on what sort of leads they are, niche they are in etc, etc..

but any tips would be really really great.

Many thanks

Frank.

    500 or 1000 what?

Is it just names pulled from Manta or scraped out of yelp? I'll give you a dollar for all of them.

On the other hand, if you have a list of dentist owners with more than one dentist in their practice that have purchased a dental marketing related product costing more than $500 in the last 18 months, I could give you upwards of $10 each.

A name and a number isn't a lead. It's a phone book listing and anyone can get those for free.

Hi thanks for the response, Sorry my question was a bit messy and vague. I meant 500 to 1000 leads although as you put it scraping a name and number is not much of a lead. I am working with varying levels of quality at the moment and trying to refine my process so I get the best results for generating the leads ( proper leads ).

You have given me a few good ideas now.

      Thanks

What niche? What kinds of leads?

How much of a "lead" are these people, anyway? Did they opt-in for a valuable report of some kind? Are you continuing to market to them?

You can't effectively sell the leads unless you know how much value they are to the business, and how much the business would typically have to pay. (You'll need to price this out yourself directly with a lead broker.)
