Am glad you got something from this coolmama.
I just called the people in the first page of google and before i knew it i had a yes. to be precise almost 4 call i had a 1 yes.
in fact those that said no already had it. That's what they told me. Which means there is a huge demand.

    Hey Rosang

Great idea, as you are already taking photos of their Business, maybe you could turn the photos into an animoto type video, perhaps even with a professional voice over ( have seen them advertised on here, $30 for 30 seconds ).

    keep up the good work

Well done! Good to read your story.

Will you carry on doing this (maybe getting someone to call around for you?), or are you going to try out some other lead gen methods?

Like Philboy says, this is a good opportunity to upsell to your other services

Nice job Ronny! It just shows that money can be made if you get out there and take some action. There definately is money to be made with Facebook Pages as I have been saying since I released my WSO way back in July. There are a ton of templates and other newer WSO's that can help people out with getting started, you just have to look for them.

    Keep up the good work.

Absolutely RaptorGabe! It's the simple things that make you money. People tend to make things extra complicated. It's just about what you have and what you can do. It took me something like 2h to actually create this.
Now it just take me like 30 minutes to create the rest since i just upload the pictures, copy and paste the image location. FINISHED!

Hello everyone this is a great thread and idea...

Can someone tell me what account you create a Facebook Page under?

I wouldn't want to use my personal account because the business owner may want access to the page later on down the road so they could make changes and updates to it.

Do you create separate personal Facebook accounts for each business and then create the FB Page through that? Or is there some other way to do it?

    Thanks so much

Absolutely. The only way to find out if they are prospect is to contact them. Find out from them. Don't hesitate.

      Warriors,

Don't lose time or let your self be hung up by the techie stuff of creating
      Killer Custom Facebook Fan Pages.

Just decide on what target market you're going after and let me build that
1st Fan Page that you can showcase
when you are first contacting them.

Think of me as your silent design office.

Land just 1 customer at a price of just $300. - not even the $500. that Ronnie got- and You'll be getting at least a 3x return on your outlay for the Custom Fan Page.

Once you have your 1st customer-it is soooo much easier to get more.

Now you have no techie excuses- start calling or walking into your Main Stree prospects offices to offer Fan Pages.

If you are interested, please PM for more details.

      Stay Sunny,

      Michelle

It's not like that techie to create a fan page. once you have a template and you can upload images, copy link location you are good.

It's would be nice if people learnt to do it themselves unless they needed an extra hand.

If you don't intend to share where you got them from, that's alright, but can you at least say so? That way I can quit stalking this thread waiting for an answer that's not going to come.

You'll find plenty of options in the WSO forum

Just use the "search the forum" option and look for "fanpage template" or "facebook template".

I've seen lots of good template and use Fan Page Engine to build my own, but it will help if you have at least some basic graphic design knowledge and know how to use a program like photoshop or paint shop pro.

You can certainly take the time to learn those skills, but you may be better of finding a design partner like Trini here if you need more help.

Your success at offline marketing of any service lives or dies by how
quickly you can get a customer and satisfy them superbly- so that you can get a testimonial.

          Two pillars at work here.

Where most people get stuck is by getting tangled up in all the steps that they have to take before they can approach a customer.

My offer simply eliminates one potential sticking point.

The FB WSO templates that I strongly recommend for $28. are here:

          http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...LVHntsfAkmG1IA

There is enough offline biz here for everyone to do extremely well.

You 1st need to Ftp the image to your site.
After that the image will be hosted on a seperate page of your site.

For example if your domain is justrealmarketing.com and the image name is pizza, it would look like this justrealmarketing.com/pizza.

You can also use a free hosting account like Photobucket, Flickr or any other ones that are out there as well.

Then you just copy the image url and paste it into your welcome page.

      I hope that helps.

      This is simple mindykoch.
Here is what you do, just download save the images to your desktop .png or .jpg (doesn't matter)
Log on to your web server via an ftp client.(i use filezilla)
open public_html then locate your image and drag it to the opened public_html.
so your image will look like
      http://yourwebsite.com/backgroundimage.jpg

p.s:there are numerous youtube video that can guide you about this.

      just curious.
As much as i would love to, i came up with another twist. See, most of the clients i have target around manhattan are restaurants. Now here is what i do. After i have made them the fan page, i tell them that i will be hosting the images in my website and i pay a sum per month, But they should not worry about that. What i need them to help me out is to promote me.

So i have this guy that makes flyers. I ask him to make me some with a nice example. Then i tell the owner i would love them to give this flyers to their customers so that i can make more money and be able to do maintenance and image hosting for them. They accepted.

You get the twist. So i get even more customers.

I have had a ton of calls until i am now outsourcing this.

This is a really great simple idea, there are huge opportunities in offline markets- and people are paying $500 for these (at least here in New York) I am really missing out, I need to get on the phone and call some places in down Manhattan and Brooklyn.

There's tons of places to get clients for this kind of service: delis, tourists shops, antique galleries, etc... I even heard those mobile food trucks and street vendors make as much as $2,000 a day in business so I guess paying $500 for a fan page isn't a big deal for them if they like it.

I have some questions for you but I'll send those to you via PM.

Second this.... I have some FBML knowledge and played with face book a couple of times... but I would prefer to have a template from a trusted source.

      Anyone know of any?

Facebook fan page creation is perfect for local marketing. Its great around college campuses and places with a lot of high school students.

There is no reason you can't turn this into an online marketing effort where business owners send you pictures. You just do it for a smaller rate.

I joined here just to find stuff like this!

It sure beats cleaning car windscreens (something I thought about doing myself many times I am so broke) and it's lass demanding and far more profitable.

Its almost like a fast forwarded version of back when companies used to set up websites for people, now all that has been done we have to move over to things like Facebook.

Awesome post Ronny! The only problem I have is that your pictures aren't showing up (not sure if it's just my computer or not), could you possibly re-post them so I can see what the pages look like? Other than that I think that this is a fabulous idea and something I need to jump on. Unfortunately most of the places around me already have Facebook pages.

    Fantastic post.

You'll be surprised how out of touch most business owners are with the power of social media. Furthermore, the business owners that understand they need to have a social presence, they are just too busy to work in that direction. The neat part is the ability to help a client incrementally to control cost. This is a great example of taking a powerful component and maximizing it....Next if Ronnie hasn't already done so, he can say " hey business owner, communicating with your clients in an automated follow up is powerful..you may want to consider adding an email marketing campaign to your business"..Then you create the auto-responder sequence, and charge business owner for the sequence + managing his email list....next you move on to another aspect. say "mobile marketing"...I love this post. I wish you continued success friend. -Jason

Uh, don't do that if the images on the site were taken by a pro photographer who the "expensive" web designer hired. You just might find yourself paying a lot of money to the photographer. I worked in that industry for 38 years. I know of what I speak.

The photographer (or the studio where he/she works) owns the copyrights to all images taken by the studio. The website owner can not give you permission to use the photos unless the owner bought the copyrights. Most of the time they don't.

The professional trade associations in the photo industry have intellectual property law attorneys on staff who sue people who "borrow" a member photographer's images. I have heard of $100,000 and $150,000 settlements.

Some people think nothing of stealing another's work. Don't chance it. You could get the surprize of your life.

Well that's crappy timing. I might have just screwed myself then. Now what?! I just built a mock-up for a local biz and their facebook page using the site's photo's. The page is still under my control as it is a "test" page to show them.

Should I take it down fast? Email him back? (He's supposed to be looking at it this weekend...sounded excited.)

No, the client would be a mod for their page only, it's good also even for your own groups and pages to have a second acct set-up and use it for co-admin or mod. that way if something happens to one acct you still have access to all your and your clients pages via 2nd acct.

Thanks for clearing that up. Always good to have back-up too.

And, as someone else already stated, $500 is great money for setting up a fan page.......but you will have to do quite a bit more to get that price in most locals, such as setting up an auto-responder, promoting via FB ads, etc....or give them a more elaborate fan page, but that's just my opinion....YMMV

Or quite possibly too, the OP is a very good salesperson

There are some really nice templates in the WSO section here.

$500 is not a ton of money for what a fan page can do for the business, in my opinion. If a business is able to get a good amount of fans and provide engaging content and offers, it is pretty similar to having a highly targeted email list - only I think the message gets out quicker on fb

There is nothing that can ever make you money than taking action. The other day i made $650 offline just by taking action on what i was presented with. Now today again am here with another scenario.

So this is what happened, I was just going through this offline marketing forum and i stumbled upon these guy who was promoting his WSO facebook fan page templates. I kind of hesitated getting it but before i knew i had them.

So i thought of how i could make yet another offline killing with these. So i was searching around for people who might be interested in having a customized facebook fan page when i came across this commercial on TV about dominos pizza. I then decided to check their facebook fanpage and see how many fans they had.
They had like 1.8 million fans.
So i thought of i could use this as a bait/proof with what i had in mind.
So here is what i did.
    - I went to google and typed pizza restaurant manhattan.
-I came up with a bunch of pizza restaurants.
    - I called them up, one at a time, and spoke to their owners to find out if they were interested in a facebook fanpage, and that i could create one for them under their permission and if they like it, they get to keep if otherwise i take it down and they have nothing to loose.
    - 3 of all the call i made accepted to see what i had to offer.
    - So i told them that i will visit their restaurant and take pictures of the restaurant itself.
-I took like 6 pictures the next day when i visited them.
-i then created them a fan page with the templates. But i had to change some of things, like the background image which by the way is just uploading, copy and paste. I will actually show you what i did.(i used the other images to create a slide show video for them and put some background beats with it, they couldn't resist it )
-This is how the fan page looked like.
-So when i went to the restaurant again, i had their fan page ready. At the same time i had the dominos one ready as this will catalyze the release of my money
Since i will tell him/her that this is what dominos is using to keep up their business.
He/she will definitely be impressed and money will roll your way without a doubt.
    - After 20 minutes of explaining about facebook fanpages, the guy was now $500 broke.

So here is what i suggest you do if you are going to implement this strategy.
-Get a customized template code.(One will do)
-Have a website. (where you can host the images)
-Google your neighborhood and look for places where you see there is money to be made. (You can simply know where you can get paid if you see that the company has a website with its name in the domain and is customized. Why? they must have paid the web designer a hefty sum as they know the importance of going online)
-Call them up and tell them that you are a web designer and you were wondering if they might be interested in a facebook fan page, and that you will create a demo for them under their permission and if they like it they get to keep it, if not you take it down.)
-get their images. (you don't have to visit them, you can take screenshot of from their website. when they authorize you to do a demo. )

p.s: Sometimes you will be turned down, but DON'T GIVE UP!!

I want to give thanks the warrior forum for the far it has brought me. Thanks a lot to all those warrior who have helped me with their ever blazing ideas.
I love your story! You didn't wait for perfection... you didn't worry about what someone would say... you didn't worry about failing.

You simply found someone with a need, offered to fill it, made a few phone calls, and you're now several hundred dollars richer because of it. Not to mention the confidence boost of getting a "sale".

There's plenty of money out there... people just need to go out and pick it up! "Taking action" sounds so cliche, but I always like to say... "The more people you talk to, the luckier you'll get". It's so true...

Thanks for sharing and best of luck to you in your endeavors!

I have a principle, and that is to get what i want. This goes to people out there also. Don't just sit there and wait for somebody else's success(though it's ok). Build your own as well.

Look for people in need, and give them what they want. simple. They might be in need but they won't tell or show you. But if somebody is running a business, he/she is in need for sure. Money! so help get more while you get some.

        This is a solid truth....

You are eventually going to be told no... it doesn't matter what you are doing.

Ronny, kudos on taking massive action and filling a need that was there! It seems like you just went out there and took imperfect action when you didn't know all the answers yet, but it has paid off big time in the process. Offline consulting is just like IM - when you first start out, things can be a little vague and you might feel uncomfortable tackling this uncharted territory, but if you have faith and just implement it to the best of your ability, more often than not good things will happen, such as in your case!

Smart move. Great job for taking action! The idea was solid, but the action made all the difference in the world!

Good work brother. Yeah, I hafta agree it's tough dealing with the rejection and all, but someone will give you a chance. And when they do, prove yourself genuinely, and the good word of mouth will go around, and others will want you too. That's how it works all the time! =)

Also, might be a nice consideration to include a google places page for those who have a hard time justifying the 500 price in their area, for those businesses that haven't claimed it. ; )

Face book is the BOMB right now.

Such an interesting time in IM history. There are SOOO many great things to get into that work, you just dont know what to focus on first alot of times. People who focus on FB will no doubt make money.

Whatever you do - F-O-C-U-S on it.

Read that again Face book is the BOMB right now.

So the only question left is how do you cash in, quickly?

There are many WSOs that show you how to mine the FB goldmine with
      either shovels or Power Tools.

So drop anchor on Facebook and FOCUS, just for this weekend even.
      Remember, learning is not earning-

you have to take results bearing action.

The ole directory site model. Churning fb pages out like a production line.

YP makes millions per month at it.

One sure way is to pick up the YP's and a phone and start calling business owners offering FB pages.

Just an idea... I know its crazy, it'll never work.

Ron, I'd love to look at what you're doing with your FB fanpages. I tried to confirm my email, but it appears like your autoresponder account is inactive? I got that notification when I tried to opt in, and it didn't let me proceed any further.

Great post. This is another perfect example of all the business that is out there waiting for us to bring in. Few ppl even understand what a FB Fanpage is so when you show them how it sets them apart from their comp and that it can turn facebook users into customer, they eat it up.

We sell fanpages as well and its a great segway into other services. Plus, you can increase your client list pretty quick by offerings a great foot-in-the-door service like this one.

Great job on this ! I have a friend who is doing offline Facebook Fan pages and he is killing it! The need is out there and you just have to get in front off these business owners with an answer to their problem.

    Hi uProSoft,

That is a very simple yet effective strategy. You are right about keeping things simple. I think we all can overcomplicate things until we eventually psych ourselves out and talk ourselves out of it. LOL!

Thanks for the inspiring post Best wishes for continued success.
