Will This Work? Its My First Time.

Hello Warriors, I have just one skill which I got from IM and that is Wordpress site set up. Having tried IM without success,I have decided to use this skill to make money offline. I want to be setting up wordspress but how to get clients is my problem. I am in school. I thought of getting my targets' phone number and send them text ads. I have over twenty of them. I will personalize the text and I am targeting music studios but the problem is that most of them are in another state. How do I get them to do business with me,irrespective of the distance?

I'm having sort of the same problem in that I can't reach out to clients during the day because I have a research job at a hospital. I have been emailing prospective clients saying something like this.

    Hi,

I have a startup business and I'm confident I can drive you x amount of quality leads per month through search engine traffic. so on and so forth. I'd like to come in for a meeting with you to walk you through the ins and outs of what I can provide for your business by placing it on the first page of search results for popular search phrases.

Focus on the amount of projected leads you can bring the business. Try not to press the rankings. Businesses care about customers, not rankings

Email is very difficult because it often appears as spam. The best way to get clients is to speak with them directly, but I understand your constraints as you both work or go to school during the day.

I've had emails sent and generally got a 1-5% response rate. So if you're going to do that, make a template form and send to as many as you can. Maybe find a service or freelancer who can do it for you.

I've also tried telemarketing, which can be high maintenance unless you do it yourself. That may be the biggest bang for your buck if you can find a good one. I'd stay away from Craigs List. All the TMers I found there were rip offs.

We also tried door hangers, which didn't work too well.

Also, ranking your website/landing page well in Google will get you business. That has done well for me. Especially considering that's the business that we're in :-)

Finally, my best source of business is just getting out there in business circles and telling people what I do. You can go to chamber mixers or join networking groups or even find forums online to join. Let people know you as an expert and they'll be more inclined to listen to you and buy.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Email is often considered as spam, cold calling is more efficient, hell even sending a letter in the mail would work

If you are talking about sending potential clients text message BE CAREFUL. There are laws against SPAM, whether it be Email, Fax, or Text Messaging. If you send a text message to someone they MUST be on an opt in list, with a one click solution to easily opt out.
