I'm trying to help my friend with his Google Places listing. He already claimed it about a month ago before I knew about SEO and Google Places. Here's the dilemma. His family is the original owner but sold the main store a couple of years ago to someone outside of the family but my friend still owns the name. My friend just opened a new location in the suburbs. Only 2 stores exist at this time. The original restaurant is named Riley's Burgers(not the real name) and my friend's store is named just Riley's since he still owns the name. The Google Places listing for the original store is Riley's Burgers but my friend claimed his as Riley's Cafe. The original store has a lot of citations and reviews under Riley's Burgers and my friend only has 2. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to change my friend's Google Places name to Riley's Burgers with the different address and website and grab the juice off of the original store. Is this a good idea?
