How long for Google maps?

Hey guys.. I put up a website for a painter i know and I created a Google places account for him and everything but his listing hasnt showed up and he has been on there for like 5 weeks now!

How long does it normally take?

  • Well according to me Google Maps take a huge time before they get updated...... For viewing what you want to see whats required is patience.....

      This might be a dumb question, but after you setup Google places doesn't the actual business owner have to confirm the listing?

      And if so, did your painter friend do that?

  • I would suggest placing some short reviews of the business on review sites such as Yelp, Yahoo Local, Yellowbot....etc. Google places loves these sites and your business will get indexed much quicker

    • You shouldnt rely on just one listing. You can create maps too from google partner like Youtube. Try other map listings too, it makes listing faster.
