"Web Presence" - Does this mean anything to offline business owners?

Looking for a short term that can quickly encompass an offline business' online efforts.

Do you think the term "web presence" would resonate with regular small business owners? If not, how about "internet marketing" or "online marketing"?

Examples in context:

"We take care of your web presence for you."

"We take care of your internet marketing for you."

"We take care of your online marketing for you."

I'm thinking you want a stronger word or phrase than "take care of"

We keep your [marketing] [web presence] [Customers] in motion.

    Something like that

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree. I just came up with that sentence quickly to try to put the term in context. ... But I'm still wondering about the key term (web presence, internet marketing, etc.).

i'd keep it short and simple so anyone can read it at a glance. How about:

    Web Presence, 24/7

in a big and bolded font.

    or you can try this:

    On the Web, 24/7

In my experience as soon as you talk about SEO, email marketing, PPC you loose them. It's best to position yourself as a marketer who can generate leads and sales online for them.

"It's The 21st Century! Do You Know Where Your Customers Are?"

"Watch this free video to see the power of the Internet to draw customers, and sell more to those you already have!" (You'll need a spiffy YouTube video and use bit.ly, cli.gs or some other trackable shortener to see how many clicks you get to measure how well your direct advertising is doing.)

Don't position yourself as a "web designer". That's too easily devalued, just have a look at the ridiculous posts on Craig's List both by customers and crank-em-out web design firms.

Yes. It means something to them.

40% of your market is online and you cant compete where you arent "present".

You have to be "present" to be in the game.

Thats what "web presence" means to them. They dont have a hard time relating with that.

Yep. I agree with John. I use "web presence" and "online presence"
all the time. Simple and obvious enough that everyone gets the
meaning, but still makes 'em stop and think about their own online
presence and if they have enough of one.

I prefer "online marketing" vs. "Internet marketing" because its
simpler to grasp. I.M. is as vague and pretentious a term as
      SEO to them.

it's tough to use a phrase to encompass all of the things that we're capable of, in addition to trying convey some sense of comprehension of the acronym seo in the phrase. I like web presence, but, ehh. Web solutions? idk

I think the term "web" is losing ground. It wouldn't be my first choice word. I think internet or online have a lot more traction than the word web.

I read on the web yesterday...
    I read online yesterday...
I read on the internet yesterday...

I ordered that from the web...
    I ordered that online...
I ordered that from the internet

My business is on the web...
    My business in online...
My business is on the internet...

Honestly - I think the one of the only places the word WEB has real traction is the word "website".

But - maybe I am completely wrong in my impressions here.

This is more important than a lot of people think. We, as IM's, get caught up in the lingo and forget the everyday speak of the common layperson. For example, I went to the doctor just the other day and when he was explaining about how he was going to fix my current condition, he sounded like a medical journal. I didn't know what the hell he was talking about! I said, "Doc, would you mind putting that in layman's terms?" He said, "Oh sorry... your going to need some x-rays." - Bingo! I got it!

    How about...

Your business will be SEEN online!

I think that Online Marketing for Offline Business no matter the term is really more beneficial to any client who can relate it to their present business. It's really up to "us" to co-ordinate (sell) business today into what their business will be more into the future. By combining online and offline marketing anyone should have the ability to make any "slogan" mean something for their client.

I think we can make this even stronger. ..the exact phrase hasnt come to me yet but my thinking is this...

The Web Presence thing is good, as it gets them to stop in that moment and take stock of their lack of, or what it could mean for them to be present.

But I'm looking for something that stirs images of customers flowing...in movement..."actively engaging him in business" ...these are the images that have emotional connection with him/her. That is language he understands...and whatever gizmo you have that can make that happen, well...he might figure it worth a serious look, whatever its name might be.

This will keep warm on my backburner tonight as I ponder.

Especially when we look at keyword research for terms like "local online marketing". We've found that "internet" and "online" are more prominent than "web".
