Best Software for tracking SEO for Clients?

I have multiple clients / websites that I track my SEO rankings for each week and then I run reports for them each month to send in an email.

I'm currently using Rank Tracker - $250 and $100 per year to use it.

I was wondering if there were any others that allow for export into a nice report and store multiple domains that are easily updated like Rank Tracker at a cheaper price.

Sounds like you already own it...why would you want to buy another software?

$100/year to track unlimited domains/keywords...I' sure your client fees more than cover that...especially since its a fixed expense?

      Currently I'm using Market Samurai.

The only problem is it's not looking at the SERPS from a local perspective.

You have to specify the country in the project settings to get a local perspective like people would if searching from their country.

Yes, but MS will still only show local 'international' results from wherever the search is launched. For example, in Hong Kong there is a Google option for 'Pages from Hong Kong' that is the real 'local' search. But MS does not use this filter, so does not show real localised results, but a mixture of international and local (not many of latter usually).

I have raised this with MS support to clarify, and they agree with my view and said this is an extended feature they 'may' consider for future. So original poster was correct in their statement.

I use WebCEO for local rankings which includes not only 'Pages from Hong Kong' but HK International, Pages in English, and Pages in Chinese. Quite different, and very powerful.

Yeah, I have Market Samurai as well; I'm not sure if it does export of reports though.

I'm curious if there is anything better than Rank Tracker out there. Cheaper versions... For future reference and to tell my list about.

I use Rank Tracker, too. $100 per year? I just have the enterprise version and there is no annual fee.

I'd recommend getting a coder and creating some.

    Hi Ryan,

I use both market samurai and rank tracker.

Both are great tools, but my personal perference is rank tracker.
Settings the scheduler to check rankings on autopilot, what a massive time saver.

I use traffic travis pro, you can get a free version but you will need pro to print reports for clients. Just a one time payment but it keeps everything together and you can also put a competitior websites in the clients project too to see what they are doing.

I've been using MS for sometime now & love it, but do not feel it is the best tool for clients (lack of reporting). Recently it hasn't been very accurate either...

A lot of my work is "local" and I work off an Apple Mac so the two products I'm currently looking at are:

        Powersuite
        $599 with 6months update
        $299 per year

        Rankchecker (part of the Powersuite)
        $249 with 6months update
        $139 per year

        Advanced Web Ranking
        $399 with 1 year updates
        $119 per year

The powersuite/rank checker look more visually appealing but are expensive (& apparently stop working completely if you do not pay the subscription!)....however AWR seems to focus more on "local search".

Both products appear to offer automated email reports.

Would be interested in hearing anyones opinions on these products (especially if you have tried both!).

        Thanks

You could try A1 Keyword Research version 3.2 (added many search engine country variations, image search rank checker and some other things.)

For reporting it can generate graph and CSV output, but I don't mind adding reporting functionality if someone will let me know what they need beyond what is provided
Would a HTML page combining the CSV data + the graph/chart graphic be enough?

      cheers Linda,

might check that out - never used hosted solutions before, costs look very comparable to the other softwares I've been thinking about (spread over a year).

I note Authority Labs hasn't been mentioned here. May want to give them a go. Another vote goes to Raven Tools, and SEOmoz also runs a rank checker, aside from the ones inbuilt into Market Samurai and Rank Tracker from SEO Power Suite

    Hi Ryan,

I use Market Samurai's Rank Tracker and I only paid $99 for the entire product - ever. No annual/yearly payments at all. (Maybe I misunderstood your original post.)

Bought it a couple of years ago - best $99 I ever spent :-)

As far as reporting goes, I take a couple of snapshots within the software, as well as export the data so I can manipulate it to show only what the client needs to see (without overwhelming them). This works well for me. I'm looking foward to reading the other comments already posted to see what other folks use and recommend.
