I just did a search for "contract for hire templates". There are a ton! Too many to list here, but you can search through and choose to buy one or more templates. Or you can get a few free and put together you own.

    Good luck!

Definitely don't put it together yourself, lawsuit waiting to happen.

Either pay someone, or get one from a reputable source.

        Great Will!

Stand corrected. I was thinking when I first started. I never used a contract believe it or not.

To be safe... even starting out... best to have it done right!

        Appreciate you!

It may save you some money if you use the sites you find the samples on to build your own template and then take it to an attorney for him/her to review, change and approve.

I did this back in 1997 with an agreement for the services we provide and the attorney crossed out certain paragraphs, dotted the i's, crossed the t's and made a few minor adjustments before signing off. It took him about 1/2 hour and I still cannot believe it but he only charged $35 at the time because I had done about 80% of the work plus he has most of our family as clients.

This agreement has served me well for 14 years with numerous companies we have and continue to do business with (dislcaimer: this has nothing to do with website building or marketing services).

There are legal sites that have contracts for about everything drafted for you. Caution you to cross reference with your state compliance.

I feel like someone was being generous and gave a family discount :p Because attorneys don't charge by the document, but by the hour.

Sorry I don't try fly by night "legal websites". Sure legalzoom is great, but it's definitely better to have an attorney who is certified in THAT state do the document. Saves you time, hassle, and if any problems with the contract (if the attorney screws up) arise you don't end up suing a internet company but an actual person.

      Hey Eshber,
I've been using Autoweblaw Pro for several years. Here's my affiliate link:
Disclaimers, Terms of Use, Privacy Policies, and More... It's a very affordable product with a stockpile of legal docs that you can customize instantly - including contracts. It's been a couple years since I bought it, so just make sure you read the sales page for the docs you're looking for.

P.S. An attorney and an Internet marketer created the product
