Picking up the phone for the first time. Was harder than 99% of things I've done before, haha...

Man am I glad I did though

I'd have to agree with Will. For me it's all about momentum and getting the giant stone moving is the hardest part.

Would have to agree on the phone part partially.
I do not know why I have the cold feet about although I worked at British Gas and other places in telesales for years and was one of their most productive employees.
At British Gas I was top employee out of 250 and the regional director came down to reward me but only gave me a pat and a stuff toy with British Gas icon on it lol
Being in that environment really helps since it is easy to get in form. To be on your own it takes that little more to get into it

    Thanks for the survey.I submitted.
My biggest fear is to pick up the phone(Google Voice for me) and call businesses in US.I live in Europe and i'm afraid that business owners won't trust me or my pitch won't be that good to get my first clients, just to get momentum, just few clients to get some courage and portfolio.I'm focusing on mobile website, facebook fanpages but i can offer more(online marketing for the moment) to those businesses, like google places, seo, video marketing and production, article writing and marketing ...
i guess i just have to do it sometime(cold call), and just get focused on improving my pitch, my target niches and just be confident.
If anybody has any idea, i will be more than grateful to you.

I have done cold calling and it is the rejection that is the hardest thing to overcome. I generally hang up on sales calls at home. Most people are busy and don't want to waste time listening to offers that they won't buy.

I used a cheat sheet of questions and answers that I could think of every possible question that would be asked ahead of time and easily retreivable. After each call, I tweaked my list so my answers would be better each time. After a while, I would sound more confident with each call.
