Hey guys

I'm about to send a letter out to a local business...I have a company name and logo, but no address or landline number...I have a mobile number, but wouldn't this look a little unprofessional?

Why no address? You work from some physical location, no? As far as number, does your local phone service provider offer remote call forwarding? I have such a number for my business and it's set up to do nothing more than forward calls to my cell phone. So, my prodepect sees and dials a local landline number that seemlessly rings through to my cell. At $30 a month it's a very cost effective work around.

How would they know it is a local number? In my area multiple area codes can be either a land line or a cell phone.

I work from home...there's no way I'm giving my home address out :-s

In the UK, land line numbers are different to Cell numbers...so its obvious to a business owner that its a Cell number, therefore, looks a little unprofessional (thats my view anyway).

This is one of my BIG secrets so I REALLY shouldn't, but I am too much of a softie when a warrior needs some help!

Buy a regional number in the UK for like £2/month from here and then redirect it to your mobile or home number if you wish.

I have London numbers like 0207 which normally cost about £500 to buy!

It will tell you who called and when, you can set it up to leave you a voicemail if you wish too. I have no affiliation with the company, I just use their service.

Just hit the thanks button... lol

      Hi,

I too work from home and use a mobile phone and have not had any problems for over 20 years.

Just put your website, email address and mobile number on business cards and your website.

But if you want a landline number rent one from skype and forward it to your mobile.

      hope this helps

Skype charge you about £0.50 for every time you forward a call you don't answer to your mobile/cell.

How long have you've been operating your business? How come you still don't have an official business address and phone? How did you operate your business the years without these important information?
