  AMEN for this, Google Places has factors that can make you number 1, however grab a smart Phone and travel
  
  It all changes based on location, Rankings are GEO located however be the best in you location
  
  Look if you are a Pizzeria I doubt very much your customer base is over 10 miles. probably more like 6 miles
  
  You all really need to think about this when pitching to local business it is not all about advertising it is about acquistion cost and operational cost

Great videos glad to see someone keeping it simple! Do you still find these practices to hold the same strength today as they did when you filmed this?

I've found relevant back links to reviews/citations are about the best thing to get people ranked high in google places.

I have started a course where the guru -Tristabn Bull strongly urges us not to begin other programs or get distracted by the shiny objects till we make his program work--- for me -- a crucially important reason for my earlier 'sputterings'... so I cannot do this now-- but could you somehow circle back with me in a few weeks.. as this is where i have the strongest interest...THNX!

This is a pretty dang good overview of the whole deal but there are still advantages to buying good Google Places WSO's. I'm very happy with the purchase I made ...You get a "hold my hand through several detailed processes" feel (which I definately need haha) - lots of examples, lots of extra resources...those types of things can make a purchase worth the considerable time and effort it took to craft them.

Tim, Yeah I watched them they are quite thorough. A person could run with it from here. In fact had I seen this before purchasing a WSO, I'm pretty sure I would have felt confident that I didn't need to get an WSO.

I've been on a WSO buying spree lately haha ...sometimes I'll find that someone explains something to me in just a slightly different way, that it clicks, so I've enjoyed the WSO's I've gotten.

Thank you for posting those videos... I didn't see the fourth one yet... But I did watch the first three....

There are a lot basics covered on GP... That is awesome....

Do you include KML files and Geo Sitemaps? In the fourth video does it tell you where the best feeder directories are? Just curious...

I would like to get some new knowledge...

I really enjoyed your presentation at the conference...

I think if you and I were to hang out... we would get along just fine...

This is a beginner course from a guy that can barely navigate this himself. There can be a lot of competition out there, and I feel this presentation is misleading. Yes, it is possible for you to build a profile for free, and have it up on Google in less than 34 days. That is assuming that you are in a market with no or very low competition. If you try this, and need a more competitive effort, let me know. I've got the strategy for competitive markets with Google Places.

Hey Tim,

I wanted to add, that I think it's cool that you are attempting to teach people, and I admire that. You do give some good advice for beginners. I just feel that you need to be more honest with people, and have more disclaimers at the beginning of the presentation. Especially at the beginning of a presentation that you plan on posting online. Other than that, I think you did a good presentation, and recovered nicely from the awkward moments at the beginning of your presentation.
