HELP! Whats the best way to get a massive amount of numbers to local businesses without scraping GP?

I am wanting to know if there is a faster way to generate leads to cold call. I am a one woman show here and work full time already (even though I'm just about ready to tell my boss to blow out his ......) anywho, I need a way to get numbers and info on local businesses that may need my services so that I can start making some calls. I can't pay for any programs right now and pretty much everything is manual and done by me. Any suggestions?????

      Start calling.

      These businesses:
      -Already spend money on marketing/advertising and understand its value
      -May or may not have web sites
      -May or may not have web sites with halfway decent ranking
      -May or may not have webs sites with any marketing on them at all

      Here is what to do.

      1/ Decide on ONE target offer (problem- Agitate - Solution) your potential market

      2/ Find out who has access to them in BULK numbers

      3/ create a coupon / letter where your potential JV partner sends / gives to his clientel (your target market). The whole thing is positioned as the partner has aquired you (ie x number of hours / certificates) and he is giving these at free as a gift to his clients for their loyaltee at no cost. That cost is being Bourne by the jv partner and given free to clients.

      4/ Approach your targets with the letter and explain how they can give a free gift to their clients, many who are struggling in todays tough economy ... and that this is used to separate him from all his competitors and keep his clients from seeking out others as a toll to build a fence around his herd of clients.


      So now you leverage all that cold calling time to single individuals and use it to approach each joint venture prospect with access to your core target group. With this system you can even visit them one on one to show them how it works. Land just one and you got an implied endorsement to his clients. Far more powerful that cold calling.

  • Check your local newspaper and call all the advertiser, no cost ;-)
  • The best free way I know of is to go to yellowpages.com, select your city and input a business name OR business category, and then just click the FIND button. You'll get all kinds of leads complete with addresses, phone numbers and websites if they have one. You can then just enter that info into a spreadsheet for your own use, and you're off and running.

    Yellowpages.com won't give you the business owner's name (being able to directly address the owner during initial contacts will increase your conversion rate), but I'm told there's a service called GoLeads.com that will provide that information for a monthly subscription fee of $15.00. I haven't tried GoLeads myself so you would need to verify exactly what services they offer and what they charge.
