Try SMS Reseller Program - SMS White Label

They waive all white label start-up fees, you just need to buy 10,000 texts in advance, which is at 2.5 cents a text (pretty good). He is connected straight to the tier 1 guys who give the main texting connection so its not just some third party.

I'm thinking about starting up with him once I round some customers up.

Can you confirm that you only need to start with 10,000 (not 100,000)? Thanks.

We are putting together our own system that uses the Twilio API which uses local phone numbers, not short codes. If you do it on your own, there is more control and you can design it the way you'd like with the features you'd like. Then for multiple sites you just carry the platform, databases, etc over to a new site. So you can niche it to specific industries.

My team and I absolutely LOVE Twilio. The cost to entry is the best I've encountered, and the ability to buy local SMS numbers for $1.00 a month is something that makes it an easy sell to our local clients (much better than a shared short code and a limited number of keywords -- we can use any and ALL keywords that any of our clients are interested in using, because they have their OWN dedicated local SMS number).

Thanks for the responses. But I'm looking for info on the script above. The control panel is clean and has all the features we would need to add this service to our mobile divison.

I have contacted each of the companies and I'm getting a wide variety of answers from the representatives. But of course no one will provide me the golden nugget!

I have tried to research the answer for you but since Pro Texting and New Legacy don't have they're short codes published on they're site (stupid) we cannot ID the Content Provider by texting HELP to they're short code. They're terms and conditions are also violating MMA by not having the short code published. Yep Text has theirs, but it is owned by them.

I recommend you take a look at our SMS Reseller platform as well. It is considered the most robust, feature filled, enterprise White Label SMS Platform on the market and we have no minimum SMS Credit purchase to sign up.

Anyone use Tropo? Was thinking about using a white label until I can build out my own. Tropo has a lot more functionality including IM, SIP integration, international support and FREE for developers - but - Twilio has subaccounts and OpenVBX. Both of these guys are saying "we're working on it" as to missing functionality so maybe in 6 months they both might be on par with each other.

I think the "roll your own" is ultimately better since you can extend it and customize it for vertical markets but it's obviously a lot more work but certainly has potential for a lot more profit. SMSWhiteLabel does look pretty good if you want to go the turnkey route but I think they use shortcodes.

I think using shortcodes is pretty expensive as opposed to a virtual number. With a virtual number you can have bunches of keywords as opposed to buying a keyword so I've nixed that and only looking at the virtual phone number - pretty much between Twilio and Tropo at this point.

My understanding is that price wise Tropo is on par with Twillio but Tropo has a more robust feature set (although you may not use it all).

Protexting owns the platform- their founders were the pioneers of text message marketing in the USA. New Legacy Mobile is a partner of ProTexting focusing on a different space in the market.

I am involved in New Legacy Mobile and we are enhancing it significantly to be the premier platform. White labels are available, but we are more focused on the actual product.
