What are your thoughts on ScanBuy?

It sort of seems like ScanLife is falling behind the capabilities of QR Codes.

ScanLife is good as well but I really don't see the difference between the two as far as from a consumer's point of view.

AR is really cool but remember that the experience (in this case of immersion by the consumer) must not detract from the message (or product) and right now I think that most people would not remember what you are selling. But I do expect that to change and we should be seeing AR at every mall in the USA.

I attended a regional IT industry cocktail party event last night with around 1000 people attending, representing maybe 500-600 average companies... all in the tech sector.

Probably 90% of them were using QR codes. It's not really "emerging" anymore. It's pretty much Main Street once you get out of "mom & pop" micro-enterprise level.

But even then, 100% of the startups presenting on "startup row" at their booths were using QR codes in their booth space & promos. Granted, it's tech, so the digerati will be ahead of the adoption curve. But the future of small business is tech startups.
