Another What Should I Charge?

I have a guy that does window screens.... he emailed me off my craigslist ad.

He does adwords, He said he noticed his cost is going up and hes not getting more calls.

He mentioned hes spending a couple hundred bucks a month on only adwords.

He wants to rank organically... (he understands he needs to be in the first few positions)

He does not have a google places listing either.

there is a good 3-4 sites in the top ten with no backlinks for his keywords that he is looking to rank for.

Two of the sites in the top ten are review sites like yelp....

Im thinking its pretty easy to rank his site

what would be a reasonable fee i should charge?...

I would appreciate your input

    I would charge him $700 for a full web presentation including google places, and the $200 per month that he is already spending to get the results he wants within 90 days... there you have a $2400 per year client. You may also be able to tweak his google ads and get the same traffic he's getting now for fifty bucks... who knows. Alot of times we are only one degree of seperation from the ultimate solution. You just have to try things. Out of that 2400 per year you can try alot of things and still profit.

      By full web presentation you mean?

      How would I be able to tweak his ads and get the same traffic for 50 bucks?.

    Okay well I ended charging less upfront but a lil more monthly..

    $450 upfront/ $250 monthly

    he just payed the invoice i sent him

      No shame in that buddy... smart decision. Sometimes charging less up front and making up for it in monthly payments is a very smart thing to do.

      John said $700 up front and 200 a month. That is $2,400 plus the 700.... and $450 up front at 250 a month brings you up to $3,000 plus your 450 to start.... GOOD deal!

      I still like to get a bigger amount up front, because you just never know what can happen. But good job and congrats to you!

    I would charge about 80% of what he is currently spending and you could say that it is a 20% discount which is very appealing.
