Is it possible to make any money on the weekends using offline methods?

Just wondering what type of success if any people have had on the weekends.

    Sure you can do it on weekends. Just depends on what strategy and services you will offer. You can target businesses that do business on weekends as well. Like Restaurants, Realtors, Brick and Barter businesses in shopping malls etc. Basically anyone that is open on the weekends would be good to target. Most of those business owners will take a weekday off since they are busier on the weekends alot of the times. My parents own a local restaurant and take Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

        Nice. Also instead of just calling and trying to sell them something. Offer them a freebie as a way of introducing your local internet marketing services. You can offer a video you make on animoto, you can create a quick facebook fan page for them, or something else you can come up with that only takes you 10-20 minutes to create and makes them happy enough to either hire you for more, or give you a glowing testimonial. Use this to get testimonials to show other business owners.

          I am finishing adding a bonus for my WSO and then I am going to start on calling businesses tomorrow. I will have to think up something to offer for free but that is an awesome tip.

            Mike, with restaurants, what you could also do is grab your laptop (or even a tablet if you have one) and have lunch there. If you're not opposed to meeting face to face, you could show the business owner some of the freebies mentioned above after you've had lunch.

            If you have a smartphone, you could also show them how cool QR codes are, and explain that it could really help boost business, especially for restaurants with regular customers.

    Also just a tip if you want to target restaurants on the weekend. Call between 1pm to 3pm since those are usually the slow times and the owner is still there most of the time.

    Find some weekend street shows with vendors and pass around a free package or booklet is what I do.

    Whenever you get calls from your lead generation techniques....

    Set the appointment for 6pm.... at a coffee shop....or on the weekends....

    Let them know.... I am really busy at the moment... I don't have any daytime appointments available for next couple of weeks.. why don't we get together tomorrow evening around 7pm at the local starbucks?

      Louie, that's a great idea to get them to meet at a later time, and away from their place of business (where it's easy for them to get distracted and pulled away at a moment's notice).

    But yes... the main ingredient is isolating them. It's a positioning thing. Everyone is standing on equal ground.

      So is Starbucks pretty much your preferred "go-to" place for meeting your offline prospects?

      I have heard this too...the best place to meet your prospects is anywhere but their place of business. I imagine it may be a little hard to drag restaurant owners away though, especially if their establishment is pretty busy?

        I really dont like Starbucks to meet anymore. I used to spend hours in there with clients in my last business and hated smelling like coffee when I got home. I love using Panera Bread locations because they got booths, healthy and affordable food, and free wifi. You can spend hours in there and much more comfortable. They usually have nice outside seating as well. Panera Bread › Home

          Too bad they don't have Panera Breads around my home town.... When I lived in Oklahoma City (where Paulie is) they were all over the place... When I lived in Tulsa they were called "the St. Louis Bread Co."

          Really a great place to meet clients actually...

    Mike I run an Offline Business and work just about every Saturday. You will find alot of owners working on weekends to catch up on paper work. Especially in the Auto Business there are shops open 6 days a week. I would call to arrange a meeting to make sure the owner is not off.

    Also located in this section of the Warrior Forum there is a thread about going to Different shows (Woodwoking, etc.) and getting solid results. These take place on weekends.

        Craigslist still works amazingly well to this day for getting offline business, though you do come across some demanding prospects there that you should probably not take on.

    The ONE thing that works the best for me, even with limited time on the week-ends is pull marketing.

    Almost ALL business owners are geared, primed, and self-trained to say NO! to folks who ask for appointments or a time to sit and chat.

    The business owners have to CHASE you!

    You have to have a system geared to get them to CHASE you.... OR you have to talk to them in such a way, that they see you as NO THREAT... but a valuable resource.

    Once you are seen in this way, you can take your limited time and get clients hand-over-fist.

    What you say does make sense. But if he needs clients right now... He may want to take the proactive approach...

    I read an article the other day.... it said that appointments set over the phone are 50% more likely to close than a direct mail piece.

    I found it interesting... I can't remember the site... I was doing some research and stumbled upon it.
