Be a RockStar In Your Offline Business & Life!

by Dr Dan 18 replies
Hey fellow RockStars!

I wrote a few books back in 2007 and published 2 of them. they both became best sellers on Amazon. This book titled "RockStar!" is a collection of 45 lessons that I have lived by over the last decade. I learned these lessons from my mentors over the years. Everyone from Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer, Guru Singh, Deepak Chopra, Keith Cunningham (The Original Richdad), and many more.

I read alot of threads here and questions on everything from "How do I get past this fear and take action in my business?" to "How can I stay focused in my business and life?" That is why I decided to create this post on being a RockStar in your Business & in your life!

Because its not just about how do I get a client?, how do I quite my 9-5 job I hate?, how do I get to the top of Google?, how do I land big clients and make lots of money?, What offline method is the best? of boasting about how you made 20 million dollars off a client because you have the best sales technique and a killer new app on your iPone that hypnotizes them into giving you money! lol.. ok, that last one was a little over the top... I know...

But you get my point?

So here is one of my lessons from my RockStar book and how you can use this in your offline marketing business today!

So... how can you use this in your business right now? Think about it... Take a piece of paper out right now and write down 3-5 ways you can use this in your business right now.

Here are a few ideas:

Maybe you want to travel the world and give back in someway. I have a friend who travels a few times a year and opens up schools to villages that dont have any for 100's of miles. But they had a plan to achieve this. They created a business that allowed them to be able to not only make the money to do this, but gave them the time freedom to achieve this.

I dont know about you, but this is what I am doing myself. I am planning ahead for my exit startegy. This is something that I learned at my first Platinum Partners event that Tony Robbins invited me to. There were only about 30 of us at this private event near one of his homes in Sunvalley Idaho. At this event LEM (Life Enterprise Management) He went over the strategies that he used to help multi-million and multi-billion dollar businesses achieve the success they have today.

One of the many things I learned from him was to always know your exit strategy before you start something. For me I am getting away from all the time consuming clients that want to call and meet with me all the time. I have been replacing those with clients that are happy to pay me $100-$400 a month and I only hear from them maybe 1-2 every 3-6 months at most. Everything is set up on auto-pilot. I set everything up once (about 2-3 hours) and then it only takes me about 10-30 minutes a month to maintain all the clients at most. Who else want to work 20-30 minutes a month for $100-$400 per month?

The best part is that I can do this from anywhere. I can leave the country for 6 months and still run my business in just a couple hours a week at most. This is my exit strategy. When I say exit strategy I dont mean I am going to sell my business or leave it. I just mean that I dont have to work in it as much after the set up and I can do the things I love to do. I have 20 clients right now like this and I am adding another 20 and then I am done! I will just maintain them from there.

This will give me the time freedom to do the things I love, give back, and have fun! Which I already do in this business and love.

Ok.. So I went on a little rant there and got a little off topic but you get my point hopefully. But as you will read in a reply I made below, that this business is what I love to do. This is my rocking chair realization. I realized I was not happy just making money and doing things people told me I should do just because I was good at it and made large sums of money at.

Maybe this is your dream as well, to be in this business, maybe its not. Maybe you hate it and really want to do something else. Do it! No regrets! Or do what I am doing, create a system or client base that will pay you a monthly fee but require very little maintenance and are not high maintenance and eat up all your time and energy.

As a way to give back to you all I am making this book available to all of you here for FREE in the Offline Marketing section of the Warrior Forum.

It has alot of fun inspirational quotes, life lessons, and more. I hired an amazing illustrator to do the cartoons so it is a fun read.

Another warrior had asked why RockStar? I know that term has been thrown around alot over the last few years. That is why I am re-branding and re-defining the word and meaning. That's why I spell it RockStar and not rock star.

Why RockStar?

This has nothing to do with acting as if, playing music, or being a celebrity. I’m not suggesting for you to go buy a guitar, go out and get some tattoos, drinking too much, doing drugs or smashing up hotel rooms.

This is a different kind of RockStar I’m talking about. The truth is… we are all born RockStars! Think about it! Before you were born people were taking pictures and video of you while you were still in the womb. There’s lots of anticipation; parties are thrown for you and you get gifts before you’re even born.

When you are finally born, everyone comes to the hospital just to get a little glimpse of you. It’s like they’re camping out and waiting in line for tickets to a sold out show. Then everyone wants to hold you, kiss you, get a picture with you, and play with you. They want to hear you say your first sounds, your first words, and see you take your first steps. You get all this love and attention; because you’re a RockStar!

Then, around the time we start school, we are told to get off the stage and sit in the audience with all of the other former RockStars. Some of us sit in the front row (the popular kids) and some of us are sent to the nosebleed seats (far back). But we
never loose our RockStar spirit. It just gets pushed down from all the years of school, and working various jobs, until we forget about our RockStar spirit. We forget that the world is our stage and we can do anything we want to do in this lifetime!

It’s time to wake up and reclaim it. Come out of retirement and live your life like the RockStar you were born to be! Have fun! Put a big smile on your face! Rock your life! Make the world your stage now!

Be a RockStar In Your Business,
& In Your Life!

I searched the forum rules and didnt see anywhere that I couldn't offer my ebook for free here. So I apologize if its not allowed.

Another warrior had mentioned below that there are not sure if I was allowed to use this section to give away a freebie and ask for emails on the page I am giving the book away. So I went back and edited this post so that the focus was not me giving my ebook away and asking for emails to build my list. Honestly I hate collecting emails and using auto-responders personally. If you have ever been on any of my lists you are lucky if you even got 1-2 emails from me in a year. I will never flood you box with the same worn out affiliate offers that everyone is trying to shove down your throats because they give a high slit, gravity, or what ever you want to call it. So rest assured if you give me your email, you will only get emails of what works, and what I believe in.

You can download it here free:

Nope... My dream and passion is to help, teach, and connect with people all around the world. I am living my dreams because this business allows me to do all of these things. I didn't get into this business because I lost my job, or I couldn't find work, or because I wanted to get out of the 9-5 rat race.

I was in the Real Estate business and investing in properties. I was making more than $200k in mortgage and Real Estate commissions alone, and another $200k-$500k a year investing in properties and flipping them. I had the toys, 2 new Mercedes, SUV, custom Harley, Big houses, Diamond watches, and more. But I was miserable!

So I took 2 years off and traveled the world, joined Tony Robbins Platinum Partners, met some amazing people along my journeys, wrote 2 books of what i had learned from a diverse group of teachers and mentors.

This book introduced me to this industry and the Warrior Forum. I wasted thousands of dollars on traditional marketing and PR promoting the books. This forced me to do the research myself and found the Warrior Forum! That's when I fell in love!

For me this is like a surfer that moves to Hawaii to teach people how to surf. Do they make alot of money doing it? No. But if they love what they are doing, that's priceless!

It reminds me of a story I have heard many times. There was a Businessman from New York vacationing in Fiji. He goes to the beach early one morning. There he sees a local Fijian sitting there and just staring at the beautiful sunrise. The Businessman says to the Fijian, "Wow isnt that amazing!" "I cant wait until I have enough money saved up so I can move here someday and stare at this sunrise every morning!" The Fijian says to him, "How much do you need to save?" The businessman says, "when I save up about 1 million dollars I can retire and move here." "Then I will fish everyday, I will watch the sunrise and sunset everyday on the beach here, I will take long walks with my wife and children on the beach everyday. It will be amazing!"

The Fijian looks at him with a smile and says, "I don't have a million dollars and I do that everyday!...."

So to answer your Question.... I am living my dreams! YES!

      The Takeaway:

Don't earn a living, you already earned the right to live!
Don't try to make money, create a lifestyle!
Do what you love and you will find a way!

One of my goals is to take offline marketing and make it into a recognized business model for kids graduating high school and college.

I want it to hear them say, when I grow up I am going to be an "Offline Marketer!" Not, "I need to go to college, get a good degree (that they will probably never use), get a good job, work my way up the latter, and then have a safe and secure job that I can eventually retire from". Which we know doesn't exist.

Arent most of the people here doing big money because of the lack of major competition and a unsaturated market? If the profession goes mainstream the $$$ per agent goes down what you think about that? (serious post)

Thanks for the post and hear what you are saying. But think of it like this, how many lawyers, doctors, and even chiropractors there are out there. Lots! But the fees are still just as high. We dont have schools that we fork over $100-$200k like they do, but we do spend a heck of alot of cash and time learning our skills. I know im on here a few times a week learnig either something new or something that changed.

I dont think it will be a problem because this is still an ever growing industry and things are always changing, and its changes fast. We are not laborers that can be replaced easily, we are specialist and get paid for our specialty.

                  It is a good feeling

And dont play down your knowledge and experience of being an expert because you are.

Too many people get caught up on what an expert is. There will always be someone that knows more than you. So at what point to do become an expert or authority or whatever the heck you want to call it?

The truth is, if you belong to this forum and even spent 1 hour reading the great advice, posts, and strategies being shared. Then you know a hell of alot more than 99.9% of the business owners and the population. So doesn't that make you an expert? Or is it called something else? Should we call it a made up name like partial expert, newbie expert, expert beta, expert in training, baby expert?

We are all experts here. Just some know more than others in different subjects, strategies, and areas.

It was in 2006-2008 I guess I was in the same time as Tom Beal and Mike Filsaime. I didnt know who Mike was because I wasnt buying IM products at that time.

My last event I did was DWD in Scottsdale where Tony asked me to do an interview for his new product "My e-Life" which was supposed to be the bigger than facebook or something like that. But I guess there were some things that took place and it never officially launched out of Beta.

Here is the video where Amber Mac interviewed me.

You can give away your book but you can't build your list anywhere but a paid ad. So requiring an optin is a no-no here.

I think you'd be allowed as long as people aren't forced to optin.
