Google Places question?

In the bottom section of your listing you see a brands section that says: Sony, etc?

Well, does it help to add keywords to this section?

    I've tried everything on my places listing but only your company name and the catogories seemed to make a difference on mine. It seems the main ranking factors are citations reviews and a complete listing.

      Ummm... wouldn't that be a part of a "complete" listing?

        You can have a complete listing without reviews and citations it's the part that tells you your listing is 100% complete

      The other items do make a difference.
      Such as using keywords for alt tags for you images.
      Keywords in your videos with you videos geo-tagged.
      Coupons with your keywords in them.
      Additional maps.
      Etc.

      I can guarantee you that if I went up against your listing and that's all you were doing, I would surpass you quickly... and leave you with a lot of catch up.

        I can guarantee you that if I went up against your listing and that's all you were doing, I would surpass you quickly... and leave you with a lot of catch up.
        Easy buddy i am giving the member an insight into what worked for me changing my name to include the locality and catogories made a bigger difference than adding photos i am not saying that coupons videos etc don't matter of course they do but off page factors are of much more importance I.e. Reviews and citations than on page.

        1) keywords for alt tags for you images - that does not aid your Google Places
        2) Coupons with your keywords in them - that does not have any effect whatsoever.
        3) Additional maps - they were removed from the algorithm a few months ago mate

        No, it does not help at all. Whatever you put in the Additional Details section is just for user-friendly experience and for their additional information. Google does not care at all about what you would put there. If you want you could stuff it with banned words and it will still not have any effect on your listing's ranking or status (it will not get rejected/suspended or whatever).
