Can anyone give suggestions on submitting sites to DMOZ?

I just submitted my main website on web development to DMOZ and I wish it wouldn't take two weeks or more for an editor to review it.

I've heard this is a really popular way to get your site's rankings higher.

Can someone tell me what the odds are of it being accepted, if possible.

I've lost 90 pounds(160+ overall) fasting since January 2016 after failing for years on diets that just made me sick and miserable. Check out Prudently.com where I'm writing about fasting and weight loss. Get a Brandable Domain Name at Name Perfection.

Are you trying to get this site listed? Your site seems to have some problems with it

To get listed in Dmoz you will be needed fresh and unique content but don't try to submit promotional content.

If you are lucky than you will definitely get listed in it.

I think you really need a good site, with decent content that is not obviously a revenue generation site (the sole purpose of the site). Two weeks for acceptance, forget it. Maybe two years.

Dmoz is an actual person reviewing your site based on many factors including Load Time, Lay Out, Usability, Usefulness etc. A good Dmoz rating means you made somebody go WOW! when they used your site

submit your web site to the search engines in about 10 mins

submit your web site to the search engines whose submission process cannot be fully automated. In addition, some webmasters prefer manual submissions so that they can control and verify the submission process.
You save a lot of time with automatic submission process . fills out the search engine forms for you using the project information and built-in intelligence. On most search engine submit pages, you only have to PM with the following.

What you have to do now:
      1. Choose a search engine category
      2. name of SE.
      3. #keywords.
      4. # description.
a snapshot of submission and its report attached .
