Not sure if this is a proper offline idea....more of a business idea.

I have a few friends who are out of work, and I have a few friends who have small businesses where they need either assistant work or manual labor done. In the past I've hooked people up with each other so they could all be happy and the friend would drop a little tip on me for the hook up or sort me out with a drink at the bar. I know people are doing this sort of day work every day, and I haven't figured out how to organize and monetize it, but why can't a local entrepreneur set up a small day job like service for their local town? It could have a social media aspect with ratings and reviews on both companies and individuals....it could have resumes listed and even contact potential workers via email, SMS or phone.

With a heavy bit of marketing dollars to raise awareness it could be a viable business in this economy. It could cover everything from getting someone trustworthy to clean out your drains or walk your dog, to lawn care or data entry. More of a craigslist meet facebook meets local staffing agency.

It could be set up on the financial end like the warrior forum where the hirer pays to post per job, or in some cases they can buy a block of time to do multiple/unlimited postings. Maybe the employees can pay for preferred status. Also you could sell ad space on the site for relative services/products. Maybe something like that already exists....but it was just an idea I thought I would throw out there.
