Anyway, David asked me what the common denominator was in the export section...
I said "this report" and I gave him my report and he read it and said it was good and that he would go through the export section...
Then he made a couple of posts and came back to me and said... John I could barely find a question on your export forum that you hadnt already answered in the book... but I was shocked to see people asking... it was pretty clear.
David further went on to say to myself AND a couple of our export students that there really wasnt anything more to it than what I described in the report...
Still thats hard to believe for many that really doing a MAJOR international deal is 90% just about cold calling, and emailing and not any major expertise...
What he saw in the export board, were people trying create more complicated answers for simple questions, and just NOT buying that the answers could be that simple.
If you couldnt take it from me, take from a man who has made 100's of millions in exports... I know everyone is looking for a more complicated answer... Just get on the phone!

What are you gonna do about it? Get on the phone and work it out till your pitch shines like a new dime! You want me to wave a magic wand? You have to DIAL AND PRACTICE... Do we think that because we are on the internet "NO COMMON SENSE IS REQUIRED"?

People are all about "technical knowledge"... There are a million out of work guys with a marketing degree and all the technical knowledge in the world who are looking for "J-O-B-S"

I got on the phone and started talking to people and figured it out step by step from there... I said "Hi this is what I have, and Im not sure what to do with it, but I see you all buy this stuff..."?
Oh really , you have closeouts too? What do you do with them? Who buys them? Where do I turn?
Oh you are gonna give me a liquidators number? Thanks
"Hi Mr. Liquidator...I have an issue, I was wondering if you could help me..."
Then the liquidator teaches me some things and so on... YOU SEE HOW THIS HAPPENS?
NEXT THING YOU KNOW PEOPLE ARE SAYING "John HAS THE SECRET TO INTERNATIONAL SALES... He's a Genius"!!!!!

PEOPLE!!!!! You got to get your eyes on the goal! Keep walking looking straight forward, asking questions... BUT STAY IN ACTION!!!!!!

I learned more in 30 days of action and talking to people and asking questions more than I did in10 years of dreaming about trying exports someday... and now hundreds of people buy my report and want to know what I figured out at that phone and desk.
Coming from the point of ZERO idea what to do...I made more MONEY in the following 2 weeks than I had ever made on a sale in my life!
It isnt hard to put two plus two together if you will get in ACTION.
Ill take an ignorant person who will work over a brilliant web marketer who's knowledge is worthless without action ANY DAY!
Guys Making a 50,000 commission check is pretty glamorous , but the whole way there of bearing down on the phone and email... Thats just down and dirty BEING IN THE TRENCHES, nothing glamorous about it...
International exports is basically putting a big buyer with a big seller... So why am I putting this in the offline marketing section? Because it fits.
Quit telling yourself what a pretty businessman you are... Get away from the virtual Mirror" , and get your head down for a few hours straight ACTING instead of thinking...
