Graphic or plain text message marketing- which is better?

Is there any data that says using MMS (graphic text messages) has a better response rate than simple text based messages?

Basically, if a restaurant sent a text that looked like an actual coupon, is that better than just words?

    I've thought about this a little also, but I have no real experience to base this on. I think plain text is better right now, because there are still plenty of phones out there that won't display the graphic coupon properly or won't display it at all. You'll alienate a large portion of your list if they can't view and use the offer.

    On the other hand, plain SMS text messages should be viewable on virtually every phone out there.

    A compromise would be a plain text message with a link to a landing page containing the graphic coupon.

    plain text. it takes too long to load mms messages right now. even if you are on 4G or wi-fi.

    Use both if works fine fro you because online promotion or any other business can be advertise through banner or text ads. So no worry use both.

    Unless my research is wrong, MMS is expensive for both the sender and receiver.

    ^^ Exactly what I was thinking.
    To "read" an MMS, you need to connect to the internet and download it. Depending on where you are and who you are targeting, this may or may not be an issue. If you are targeting CEOs, then chances are they are connected. Old people? Chances are they arent.

    To me, MMS seems like an expensive barrier to getting your message across.

    I think text messages would work best. Not many people have the technical skills to print out or redeem a coupon. And as simple as this sounds, that's just the reality of it all. I would test text messages first, and if it gets you the response that you want, then roll with it. If it doesn't, test the HTML version of it next.

    Hi,
    It depends upon your business that what sort of marketing is required? Both ways are good enough. For example if you are going to sell any fashion related product than it should be in graphic designing to find more attraction of your customer.
