What is the general consensus or 'best practice' as to who owns the list? Your client or yourself? I sell my services that enables them to send sms messages , build their subscritption list, host the app on my servers for a small fee, charge for the messages sent and train them how to get subscribers and send the messages etc. I really think the list belongs to my client since they paid me for my application, hosting and message charges. Even if they decide not to use my service I feel the list is still theirs.
