Honestly check out Google Places Cheat sheet by brian anderson. His guide is basically all you need to get in order to know how to rank google places listings.

That along with Mario Brown's Google places product will have you find. The only other thing is getting citations, that can be outsourced.

Citation outsourcing is truly the only way to get because doing them by hand is a true PITA. I have some one do them for me and I still feel bad lol

Citations are references to a business from other places on the web such as Yelp, Brown Book, Insider Pages etc.

They are important for business owners because the these citations give validity to a business and show Google that it is a real and relevant business. The thing is though the information contained in the citation (address, tel no etc) must be exactly the same as on the Google Places listing in order to be of any use.

I agree!

I've used (Universal Business Listing) UBL in the past but it takes 6-8 weeks for the listing to show up, my listings ended up taking almost 12 weeks. It was convenient but I still had to go back and edit the information because it's not guaranteed that all of your pictures and videos will transfer to the directories.

The best solution I found was to do it yourself or pay someone to do it manually for you.

I would try Holly Cutters Consulting Classroom Tara. It is only $1 a day and gives you information one day at a time so it is very easy to digest if you are a newbie.

There are also some great techniques in there for getting clients and making some money quickly.

Hi Sue! I will say that I think you have a good WSO with some gold nuggets, however some videos did leave "me" with information to be desired. With that said, I am still trying to come full circle with GP Places.

You need to spend some money on your education. Offline Bully is very good info. Once you have very good foundation, then you can fill in rest of the pieces.
You can't get something for nothing.

Maybe you misunderstood my Original Post. I said, "my funds are limited" like most ppl these days not that I am looking for something for nothing!

I know about limited funds,
but here is the idea for you, while you spend a week collecting this info, you can pay 20-30$ to someone who lays it out for you, and you can go ahead and start making money, instead of wasting time. You can get more money, but you can't get more time.
And like people have mentioned, not one single course will give the full overview, plus you still have to do your own homework and keep your eyes open while doing your research.

Hi, e30drifter...I am sure your intentions here with your suggestions are good ones, but some of your words are starting to sound patronizing, may be it's because you are use to talking to ppl who need to be spoon fed to take action or get their priorities straight, I assure you I am not one of those ppl and wasting my time on anything is not in my character. This post is to simply get referrals on what has helped other warriors, so that I will not be "wasting my time" and if you knew how much research I have done you might think I was a human search engine. I do sincerely thank you for the "idea" and trying to help me put things into perspective but again I am simply asking for refferals here.

BTW...this reply is not meant to offend you, you suggested Offline Bully and I thank you for contributing to this thread.

Well, I think I'm going to be the unpopular one again in this thread... Tara, I don't think you need to spend ANY money on ANY guide.

The process is simple.... upload max amount of photos... videos... fill out as much information as possible... get citations, and reviews. That is it for 90% of what you will be doing in the aspect of actual work. Now, if you're looking for a guide on how to market or sell yourself to businesses to get clients, you don't need to spend a dime on that either.

Everything you could ever need, is in this forum... scripts... ideas... how to's... everything you need!

I agree with Nameless. Every WSO you could buy lacks one thing or another, or is outdated. I'd say just read through ECatalyst or RBRShorty's blogs and the WF. All the knowledge you need seems to be available somewhere for free.
