Don't take it personally but most probably you're going to do more harm then good. SEO is way more then providing a "backlinking service to get my clients ranked on google for some keywords".

If there is something people really should take care like a fragile plant, it's definitely their company website's SEO.

Otherwise, bumpy road ahead, and a huge loss of money to their competition.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

YOu should probably backlink assetts (like other pages, or You Tube channel) that point to the website, and not the main site directly.

Backlinks can create a footprint that Google will likely one day discover and blacklist the site.

However, if you backlink to pages that link to the money site, it provides one degree of separation, which is enough to get Google to leave the money site alone. It has been proven to be extremely effective, even now.

I find this to be very good advice.

A lot of backlinking doesn't do much, depending on the type of links. Blog profile links, for instance, often don't get indexed or take forever it seems. Linking to the pages that then link to your primary site can be more effective.

Google has no reason to blacklist a site if you are sending quality links to it. It's good to backlink the 1st and 2nd tier properties, but diversification is always better.

Avoid using spun content and XRumer/Sick profile links and you should not have to worry about sending links directly to your site.

I am totally in agreement with Fernando. First and foremost, you need to make sure the site is optimised.
