E-Commerce WP Themes

Hi Guys,

For starters I was not really to sure where I should put it if a mod does not think it in the right place feel free to move it

Okay, I have recently started marketing to people who run markets selling hand-made goods, now I have done a bit of theme researching and I can't seem to find any WP themes that would really suit a market stall owner if you know the "perfect" theme for me it would be much appreciated.

Also I have never done something like this before before (normally I just consult), what i was thinking of doing is telling the stall owners "I will set up and manage a site for you I just take a 20% commission" now the customers would send the money to me I take my cut and then I send the remaining to him/her. Now I know it's not the best idea with payment. If anyone has had experience with something like this I would really appreciate if you could share your thoughts.

    What do you mean by e-commerce??

    There are plenty of WP themes and you can sell items from almost all of them.

    If you're looking for something that looks similar to an online store check out the retail themes here-------Theme Forest.

    Some even come with a shopping cart.

      I've heard this plugin doesn't always play well with themes that aren't from the same developer as the plugin. What has been your experience with that?

        Problem could be caused by poorly coded themes. I use one FREE theme advised by their team with a lot of customization work and it works just fine.

        Use it for what? 2 Years? 3 Sites.. and so far great. The plugin was updated a couple weeks ago to use taxonomies and all the other goodies, and my customers love it. Simple, effective and offers different payment gateways.

        One word: amazing.

        But everyone has different opinions based of their experiences. I personally advise it for people not willing to pay Magento.

    Well with the theme I am looking for a sort of "handmade" feel and yes I have been on themeforest there e-commerce themes are too generic for me

    use any theme you want and use Ecwid.com for your shopping cart easy and can use it on FB or any place you can add a html snippet
