If you can post a little about your background and online experience, it would be helpful. As the online world is becoming more competitive, you need to have an understanding of what is required and have confidence that you can deliver. "Results" is what matters to businesses.

In addition to what V Michael Santro listed, it's important to have call scripts and presentations outlined for each service you would offer the businesses so that you would appear natural, authoritative and in control of your offering. This will further convince the business that you are the one to do the job.

Think about what you can do to be of service first and foremost. That's the best way to get started.

There are TONS of great WSO's on the subject. Invest in yourself and pick one up.

You need no internet skills, no computer, no experience. You do need to be able to convince the business owner that they need you. Make them believe what your offering is what they need to increase profits. You can outsource most everything, right here on the WF. When first starting out you will need a proven source of getting traffic (people to talk to).

Pick a category of business that you have the most qualifications. Learn the lingo, what marketing/advertising methods they are currently using, and what you can add to increase sales. You can be an expert about Google Places, Adwords, SEO, yet have no ability to convince business owners they need your services. I know so many experts in offline marketing, yet they make no money. Poor communication skills or generating traffic will kill you in this business.

To be successful in offline market trend, you must have to create your links and discussions on different forums and blogs to promote your business. It can be really helpful for you to generate attractive revenue from offline business.

Offline to online marketing is probably one of the few (if not last) bastions where you can acquire some basic knowledge, a few skills, and basic tools and then be able to provide a ton of value to local businesses that will be impressed with what you know and how you can help them.

There are a lot of offline to online courses here on WF and some are outstanding. I've either bought most of the major ones (even though I am very adept and experienced I always am on the lookout for even just one new angle, technique or tweak that will excel my efforts), or I've reviewed others and in fact yet to find one that I thought wasn't worthwhile in some respect.

So the bottom line here is to arm yourself with some knowledge and then prepare to outsource the heavy lifting or the tedious tasks and just focus on your marketing and you will succeed

The first thing that you should know is that nothing happens until you get a lead. I would postpone all kinds of marketing strategies until you have a plan of how to generate lots of leads from your ads.

Generally speaking, you will want to run an ad, get their contact information, and then mail them out to your prospect. This technique will slightly differ depending on occupation/business you're in, but the premise is the same.

Give something away for free, and then follow up on your leads with the free offer and your complete sales letter/sales presentation.

I'm assuming that you're selling information products, and if you are, make sure the price of your product is high enough for you to either break even - or make a steady profit.

If you do happen to lose money on each new customer that you get, make sure you follow up on them with an aggressive backend marketing strategy.

This is the gist of offline marketing, but the techniques listed above won't do squat until you got a lead to sell to. Make sure your ad is good enough to get alot of leads calling, and then follow up on them with your sales letter.

Also, be sure the publication you're advertising in already has some direct response ads in it. Publications like these are trained to respond to direct response ads - so make sure you choose your publication correctly.

If you're using cold direct mail and you need to rent a list, make sure you get a list from the SRDS instead of a list broker. All of the list broker's i've done business with in the past could care less if my campaign succeeded or failed. So keep these things in mind.

If you have knowledge of website development, you can build small websites for businesses around your neighborhood to increase traffic to their business.

You can also do mobile marketing for for same businesses as well.
There are many WSO's and product that teach the necessary techniques to succeed in offline marketing.
