Starting my Offline Journey!
I'm taking action OFFLINE!
I've just bought a domain name (.com and .co.uk) which I can represent as my offline business.
I plan on initially offering mobile websites, and possibly full websites if required. I am also going to venture into SEO and outsource it. As I obtain more clients I am going to offer an offline affiliate scheme for new clients, and start offering more services (text message marketing, QR codes, possibly PPC campagins, and so on).
I bought a particular mobile website WSO which I am sure you've heard of if you frequent this forum. Well I'm pleased with the information and scripts I've received and this is basically me taking action.
So far I have:
- Read through WSO content and extra information regarding client acquisition.
- Registered a business domain name (www.____marketing.com /co.uk)
- Searched for an ideal client and already re made their website to be mobile optimized. It took me less than an hour. The client is a solicitor business in my city which ranks well for 'lawyer *city*', and does not already have a mobile website.
Next to do:
- Create my business website and set up my email forwarding to my gmail account (so I don't have to login to my hosting providers email every time - gmail gets pushed to my phone). This should take a few hours tomorrow - I have a template purchased already which is ideal.
- Upload the mobile optimized version of the client's website to my business website as follows - www.___marketing.com/clientmobilewebsite - and send an email to the client ASAP.
- I will follow up the following day asking to speak to said client.
How does this sound? Any flaws etc? I realize creating the website prior to even contacting them may be inefficient in the long run, but I'm very eager to get my first site out of the way.
Also, I start my internet marketing summer internship in 3 weeks time. Onwards and upwards!
I'll update on my progress and show you my finished business site when it's ready.
Thanks for reading - take care!
Joe
