Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good, proven, reliable WP Contact form for my offline clients WP sites.
Doesn´t have to be fancy, just nice and simple and most important of all reliable ie the clients get the enquires !

I was using one but it froze when entering the details (cant remember which plugin that was !)

Really appreciate your help.

Thanks

Si

  • seems like "Fast Secure Contact Form" is one of the most popular contact form used by Wordpress users.

  • I use Email Me Form™ - HTML Forms, Web Forms, PHP Forms which I have found to be really flexible and really easy to use. They do a free trial as well which means you can test it thoroughly to see if you like it.
  • Gravity forms are good:

More for when you need something a bit more elaborate tho.
  • I'm surprised no one has recommended Contact Form 7. It's pretty basic, but it gets the job done (Otherwise it wouldn't have millions of downloads).

  • I use contact form 7 as it is simple and easy to implement.

  • If you wana use free then Contact 7 is the best and if paid then Gravity Forms is the best choice .

    • Nailed it... Contact 7 is a great free form processor.

If you work a lot with WP... Gravity Forms is the way to go. They have 3 license options:

      Single Use: $39.00
      3 Site: $99.00
      Developer: $199.00

Gravity Forms is form processing on steroids.
  • The best free form creator in my opinion is Cforms.
  • I don't remember how it called exactly, something with "form builder"
  • wondering why would one pay that much for a contact form..

    • Another vote for Contact 7.
    • It's extremely powerful and super easy to work with. It also maintains a database of all contacts, integrated mapping feature, AJAX drag and drop form fields... and a ton of other features.

This is pro-level contact form software for those building pro-level WP sites for clients.

I have the developer's license and use it on every site I build. Small price to pay for the value it delivers.

  • We use Contact 7 for most of our clients.

I love the look of Gravity Forms though - thanks for linking that. It might actually solve a headache I've had with putting together a pricing form for a friend!
  • best free: Contact Form 7
    best premium: Gravity Forms
  • Ok I'm going to give away a little secret here. I was using standard forms on all my sites (contact form 7 on WP sites) but, around a year ago decided that I wanted something a little more elaborate.

I was looking for simplicity of use and a control panel where I could manage all my forms. I settled on Wufoo which is a monthly paid service.

We all know that a small change in a headline can massively increase response rates, but until I tried this, it didn't occur to me that a change of contact form could do the same.

The difference in response rate is staggering. Sites that never generated a form enquiry began generating them regularly. This obviously makes for happy clients.

I think the secret is to use drop down menus to steer the user in a particular direction and make it as easy as possible to complete the form. So it's not necessarily Wufoo that makes the difference, any form that follows this process will probably work.

It's all about generating response right? So if you're using contact forms, you owe it to yourself and your clients to use forms that actually work.

    • I can also recommend Wufoo.com. They actually also offer free services for 1 user + 3 forms + 100 Entries/Month.
  • I use contact me form. You can use with Free Account or Paid Account.
  • Contact Form 7, it is really easy to set up

    • I personally like Gravity Forms, I know $199 seems like a lot. But it really can pay itself back many times over, for instance we just did an add on to a site for $400 for a customer satisfaction survey that will use Gravity Forms. It will literally take my guy around 10 minutes to set it up.

We use it for all kinds of things.
      1. Contact Forms
      2. Application Forms
      3. Surveys
      4. Quizzes
      5. Service Request Forms
      6. Appointment Requests
      7. Ordering Forms prior to going to paypal
      8. Split testing contact forms to view completion rates(we got a client to request appointment 13% more by changing the order of some questions, which should increase their revenue by 50k this year, how could I do that with contact form 7).

What if you're bidding on a project and you have a competitor and you can pull that stat out. I just made Company XYZ $50k more this year because we split tested response rates and form completion that no one else ever thought to do. And this is incremental income, no more money was spent in advertisement or anything else. What if you could add $200-300k in value to your company by a small $400 add-on, what would that mean for you?

It's so much more than just a form creation tool. You can't stumble over the pennies on your way to the dollars. It's a value added tool that you can offer that a lot of others cannot.

      Just sayin'
