Advanced Google Place Issue - Please Help

Hello Fellow Warrior's,

I have been successfully creating GP listing and getting them on the first page for various clients.

However, I have one client that has four different store locations in different cities that for the life of me I haven't been able to reach page one with.

Typically I get clients to page one in less then five weeks, but not this one.

I am seeking any advanced advice anyone has.

I have covered all the basics: on site SEO, Citations, Videos, Backlinks, etc...

If you have any ideas to help boost these GP listings to page one I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

    Hi BDM,

My only question is if you have analyzed the competitors who are ranking? What's the difference between them and your client? Reviews, and backlinks in particular.

I'm guessing from your signature we're talking a BIG city. How hot is the niche these folks are in? Perhaps it's just upping your game to the same level as the others in this case?

If you're looking to boost 'reviews', note a post yesterday from Tim Castleman. He showed how Google Places is now also scraping Yahoo reviews. Perhaps run a campaign to encourage satisfied customers to post reviews on Yahoo so you also get credit from Google for them.

Those are my main thoughts anyhow. Good luck, and keep it up!

Have you ever run into this problem with a client who has multiple locations before?

Does the client use a separate website for each of the four locations?

I ran into this problem with one client and it was WONDERFUL!! It gave me an awesome reason to do more work for them and create the additional sites.

I created separate landing pages for each location on their main URL. Each landing page has unique content that reflects the store location.

multiple locations can be a bitch

Google is known to merge them (and I'm not revealing what I have to go through to get G to separate them out)

Its not about the urls buddy... I'm having the same issue with one of my listings .
The competition doesnt even have a site.
Imo, get the listing gradual reviews from diverse review sources and you would see results eventualy.
    It's all about popularity.
