How to get lots of clients

In the old days and still true today is build a list if you want to make good sales.

If you can't build a list piggy back on some one else's list and this is what I do.

For example the last month I contacted a printer and took him out to lunch. He has a lot of customers. My Treat.

I showed him QR Codes and mobile sites.

Now we are doing these things together.

1. We did a mail out to all his customers about QR Codes and mobile sites.

2. We held a Friday afternoon cocktails where we did a short presentation on QR Codes and Mobile Websites. We will do this again.

3 We did a joint add in the local paper.

This accomplished a few things.

1. He is now funneling me a lot of work.
2. He has got a lot of new jobs using QR Codes
3. We have raised awareness re mobile sites and QR Codes

You see you can go after the ones and twos however if you think more outside the box you can get hundreds and these people will then refer others if you ask them.

Second strategy is with other groups like social clubs etc.

Same sort of thing but they cannot profit off QR Codes so I offer a free mobile site and seminar for them.

Another strategy is that I send out letters to networking groups of which there are lots around. So like BMI, Rotary etc and send a nice presentation about what I do and offer to do free talks.

So this is how I get a lot of my work.

Hope this gets your mental juices going to help you target lots of clients rather than going after individual clients.

Quentin

Great advice brother and this is a very similar approach that has worked amazing for me as well.

Piggy back and its a win-win for everyone.

But I found reachonmedia's approach more powerful to get new clients.

It's also a WarriorPlus link, not just direct linked. I wonder if that's a referrel link too. If it were, talk about self-serving. LOL!

      Quentin,

I was thinking about the same thing regarding approaching printers because many of their clients are the types I would target for mobile websites too

        Anyway, good stuff Quentin.

It is far easier dealing with an introducer for a higher uptake than scrabbling around yourself to get to those very same people.

Great advice, Quentin. By doing it this way, you're engineering a great win-win-win scenario for everyone - you get the explicit endorsement of the printer, he gets additional jobs due to your QR codes, and everyone wins. Even his clients benefit from the additional business derived via the use of QR codes and mobile websites.

Thanks Quentin. Very useful and at least not in the form of a $37.00 WSO :p

But really, I guess all you need is to get one client like this (where you do a freebie for them if they have a lot of contacts etc) and you could potentially be set for the long term. Interesting, but would require (at least in my case) a lot of practise in whatever field it is to ensure I Can take on all of those orders somehow.

Thanks guy for all this nice words. It sounds like I made a mistake by directly promoting the wso I like. Without even reading the wso, you all have declared me culprit and referred a ban for me. What is the guarantee that the link you are promoting in your signature truly help someone. Everyone gives suggestion here and makes money and this is what I did. Before blaming someone please watch your actions first.

Thanks for sharing those ideas, Quentin. I agree too that win-win is the ideal situation, and one that keeps on giving over and over again, even past this one collaboration. It will likely lead to more of the same/similar down the road. I am keeping note of the great information I am finding on the threads in WF.
