    Hi John,

I work more with restaurants & cafes. With these group of clients, you need to visit their outlet a couple of times first and actually PAY to eat their food on their menu.
While eating at these outlets try to understand what their theme and target audience is all about. While ascertaining this, you'll understand how you can sell a mobile site to these restaurant & cafe clients. If you would, you might want to try my ebook below.

    Cheers!

If here's anyone that knows how to go about this its Quentin - I've almost all my Mobile Website creation and marketing from him.

The trick is to analyze your target client's business and their approach to marketing, this will give you an indication to what their take on mobile marketing is as well as what are they doing about it - a base for you craft your approach.

Check to see if they have a standard website and if they do then create a an actual version mobile site based on their main site - if they don't have a site I use their menu/leaflet/flyer to create one keeping with their color scheme.

I then approach them and offer them free access to the site for around 30 days letting them know its available if they want to keep it beyond that period for a fee. More often than not I get a call back way before the 30 days are up for them to purchase it - as they say "Nothing ventured nothing gained"

    Hope that helps,
    Zulf
