Recurring PayPal payment and Client

I have a client on a recurring payment with Paypal and so far no issues. However, today is typically the day that I receive automatic payment from them (the last two months it has been completed on the 1st of the month since that is when the recurring was setup and first payment was paid), but so far no payment yet today.

When I go into my paypal account I do see the recurring payment for this client still shows "Active". One thing I'm not sure about is whether I get notified if the client cancels the subscription on their end or not? Typically I get an email early in the morning that I have received payment, but it's almost midday and nothing yet. Should I start to be concerned about this yet or give it til end of the day or tomorrow at the latest?

Yes, you should get an email if they cancel. Sounds like the transaction just hasn't hit yet.

Paypal also states that after canceling a payment, subscription, or automatic billing agreement, "the subscriber is still required to pay the merchant for the goods or services you received." Make sure you have some form of T&C that covers you on this, that your client has agreed to when setting up recur billing, so it's spelled out if you prorate them, etc.

    Good luck!

Ya looking at the last 2 payments it hit around 6AM PST for April/May. Wonder if the holiday had anything to do with it or what?

I use Paypal to manage my monthly billing charge from my webhosting company. The usual day that my webhost charges me is on the 13th of each month. But sometimes the charge won't come across until the 17th of each month. Don't know why that happens, but i thought i would share this with you just to ease your mind a bit.

For the most part the charge comes on the 13th of each month, but every now and again i won't get charge until the 17th. Weird, but i guess it is what it is.
