Email Blasting For Lead Generation?

I know people scrape yellow pages, google, yahoo etc for local business info so they can market to them. I was just wondering, what tools do you use to send an email blast to lets say 1000 scraped email addresses? Doing it manually would take forever.

    Gammadyne mailer is a good source. (no aff). Does what it says, and very well.

    But you need to be careful bulk emailing like that, it is against CAN-SPAM laws in the U.S.
    You're better off calling the business by phone, or sending a one-off email, offering
    some VALUE to them, than bulk blasting which will land you in trouble.

    Yeah, you have to be SURE to comply with Can Spam act requirements. It's not illegal to mail them all, but you have to do it the right way, and if they send you an email back telling you they OPT OUT, then you have to comply. If not, you'll be in big trouble. Also, you have to check your lists for spam traps or else that will get your IP blacklisted as well and you won't have a very high inbox rate.
