My Offline Business Plan

Hey all,

just wondering if anyone can review my plan of action before i start using it to make it more streamline...

This is what happens:

1. Call business and go through my script if they accept go to step 2 if not start again.

2. Email them my service agreement and give them my paypal link for the first half payment.

3. Wait for payment then complete the service

4. contact them via email and give them a link to the second payment paypal link.

I know this is very messy thats why i was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me smoothen it out and make it more streamline.

  • Hi Brendan,

    I think before stage 2, you would need to go and see the people face to face. It may be ok to do it all via email, ( I myself have a few clients I have never met as we live in different countries and time zones, and most of the jobs are low cost).
    If you are going to be charging them good money, you will need to sit down with them, talk things over, draw up a proposal and then take it from there.

    • I agree. In my experience, clients want to see your face before they hand over money. I do encourage the Pay Pal route for collecting payments though (after the first check).

      Also, I know cold calling gets a lot of traction on the board/WSOs, but I have found e-mailing more effective. I still do cold calling, as I did telemarketing for many years in high school...so phones don't bother me in the least, but depending on who your market is, you're going to have a hard time pinning down some of the business owner's that can make the decision to get you a check. E-mail they can read any time. Send them a video of what you can do for them in e-mail, then meet them = check. Very simple.

  • I definitely agree that although you should make an attempt at cold calling, emails are much more convenient. Business owners often would rather have a well typed and informative email than to have to sit on the phone. Once you've made contact you should ask them if they prefer calls or email for future business.

    • Agreed. Plus if you can, customize the email with your intended person's name.
